Little Sister Hallel echoes today... "Every day I will bless you..." Psalm 145/Hallel Psalm

John and Bobbi get to Kansas City about 3 weeks after their wedding to share their JOY with Hallel!

We are half way between the weddings of these two!!!!  John and Susan/Little Sister Hallel seem to be closely sharing their journeys.  We all had tickets to get to France for Susan's taking of her habit and changing her name in 2009.. two months before John discovered that he had brain cancer!  It brought our family together around him including Hallel from France!!!

John in France with Judith and the founder, Little Sister Marie!  So many twists and turns leading to our being in France by a miracle in a matter of hours!

Yes, in just 5 weeks we will be leaving for France... 18 from our family going to support Hallel as she takes her final vows/marriage to her spouse, Jesus Christ!  How the words from the first reading speak of how he pursues his beloved!  On that day, says the LORD,
She shall call me “My husband,”  Hosea 2

Hallel carries up the cup soon to become his lifegiving Blood!

"I will espouse you to me forever:
I will espouse you in right and in justice,
in love and in mercy;
I will espouse you in fidelity,
and you shall know the LORD." Hosea continues!

Such powerful words of LOVE not only for Hallel but for all of us as we pass through our lives - the ups and downs and deserts of our own making.  His love pursues us and our prayers to know him and love him are answered according to his perfect plan!  Who would have thought that John would find his Faith through the cross of brain cancer?  And that Hallel would say "yes" to the Community of the Lamb/call of her Lord when they opened their first foundation in the U.S. in KC after Archbishop Naumann invited them here!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
John just prayerfully sent his link to those at NCYC for this year asking that they consider his story as part of the huge gathering!!!  Praying for the Spirit to be at work and he can share his story at this huge gathering of Catholic youth!
The open table meal while we visited allowed Hallel to have a celebratory meal with her brother and new sister in law and Rose and Bernadette... a mini wedding reception with their sister, who had to sacrifice being with us on this special day.  Surrounded by the Community and the poor!  No better Wedding feast!!!

It was frosting on the cake to find a Hallel Psalm of total praise in the midst of mass today!
Psalm 145
R. (8a) The Lord is gracious and merciful.
Every day will I bless you,
and I will praise your name forever and ever.
Great is the LORD and highly to be praised;
his greatness is unsearchable.
R. The Lord is gracious and merciful.
Generation after generation praises your works
and proclaims your might.
They speak of the splendor of your glorious majesty
and tell of your wondrous works.

How I rejoice as our domestic Church/family is sharing our Faith with JOY from one generation to the next!  Sharing his "wondrous works"  and John wants to shout from the rooftops about his finding Faith through brain cancer, and Patrick's being born dead and brought back to life, and Hallel marrying her spouse, Jesus Christ, and how blessed we are by our expanded family of the Lamb!

How appropriate!!!  The JOY table at the wedding feast in Kansas City with their Little Sister Hallel!

The LORD is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and of great kindness.
The LORD is good to all
and compassionate toward all his works.
R. The Lord is gracious and merciful.  Psalm 145 continues!
So much fun getting these two in front of my barn!!!

The family is out on a huge job to get a bull out of a pasture, so I am here with the 3 youngest kids at the farm.  Prayers for their success and safety!
The kittens were in for some fun!!! Cookie is cute and Joy can say "kitty" so cute.  Grandma can't resist!

Reading the Gospel with Matthew's version of the woman with the hemorrhage touching the hem of his garment and being healed is a joy too!  Reminding me of Cora Jesu (Heart of Jesus) gathering years ago when Hallel was discerning her call in St Paul!

There is one story which happened towards the end of Susan's time in the Discernment house - there was a gathering called Cor Jesu - Heart of Jesus - which had begun among the Catholic young people at St Thomas.  Susan invited me as she was to do a small sharing as part of the night.  She stepped up to the podium and simply and shortly spoke of her love for Jesus and his Bride, the Church.  Then Fr Craig and some other priests put Jesus in the monstrance in the altar for adoration, and around the base of the monstrance was a scarf/altar cloth that draped around and hung on both sides.  The church was packed with young people and we were invited up to hold onto the hem of his garment in a close and personal time with Christ.  To add to the power and glory there was reconciliation going on with numerous priests at the same time as well as amazing praise and worship music being led by groups of talented guitars and singers!  The most powerful sight to behold was a sister, who had been Christ's bride probably for 20+ years up on her knees and holding onto his garment in intimate prayer time with her spouse!  I share this story when I give talks at TEC for the Church People of God with the song by Danielle Rose- If I touch him
Danielle too considered a call and lived for a time in a convent in New Orleans - she discerned out but continues to work for Christ as a musical missionary!

Lord, How we are filled with so much each day..."every day I will bless you" is how we feel and the praise we long to give you without end and in utmost of  Thanksgiving for all our many gifts with each new day!  Every day in The Church is filled with the readings shared throughout your Church around the world... so much power as it is preached and prayed over and the Holy Spirit leads us in your Way, your Truth and your LIFE!  Our Lady always there to bring us to her Son, and her rosary prayer/prayer without ceasing!  Given to us at the foot of the Cross we bring her into our homes and she is our Mother of God!  The Saints!!!  How we love them and know that we have an in heaven interceding for us on our narrow path carrying/dragging our most Cherished Cross and finding LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Rose and her favorite kitten, Black Jack!  Kittens to share life with is a common theme on the farm.  Passed on from one generation to the next!  Generation after generation praises your works
and proclaims your might.
They speak of the splendor of your glorious majesty
and tell of your wondrous works.   Psalm 145 - Hallelujah!!!  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke

The Hands That Comfort Us.
Take a moment today and think of those that have hugged and loved you. Your soul will feel better with that.
Congratulations to all who are entering into the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony this summer!

Little Sister Hallel's final vows on the feast of the Assumption - August 15th, 2018 in Saint Pierre, France!  I realized with a jolt of the Holy Spirit that everytime I pray the glorious mysteries that I pray for Hallel on the 4th glorious/the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to heaven!  How powerful is that to realize!!! How powerful for that to be the day she marries her Son, Jesus Christ... totally united in LOVE!
