"The task of writing- intense, sacred, all-encompassing." BV/Working together while the farm family is away/Hail Mary brings peace

Maria sent me some pictures of 6 week Maggie with her older siblings.  Here is 4 year old, Evangeline, and they look like they are happy to be spending some time together.
Yes, happy indeed!
Up early this morning with hubby to do the goat chores, and pick up round bales that he baled last evening after the farm family left for a week away at the Boundary Waters.  Many prayers for them to relax and have fun and be safe!
So happy to have these wonderful mirrors now on the tractor, and hubby doing a quick repair before we head out to pick up bales.  I am always nervous to drive a tractor, my rosary beads and praying in my chapel on huge tractor wheels helps me to trust and go forward.
Saturday is devoted to Blessed Mary the Mother of God, and she is with me and bringing me peace within as I drive this huge tractor and help pick up bales over by where we lived when we were first married with our 4 little girls on Hwy 59.
Thankfully some of the time I am sitting waiting for Pat to bring the bales to me.  We talk to each other on the phone, so I can be directed to be where he wants me to be.  It is a kind of a dance to the Hail Mary in my heart, mind and soul.
14 bales on this bale rack...
When the whole crew is home. Paul will load in the field and Pat will unload on the yard.  Quite the system, but today it was just the two of us so I brought this load home and then left with the small rack and the pickup for the final load.
Just about full.
Full load back on the yard, and off with the pickup for the final load.
Prayers for rain as we drove over to the farm this morning.  A light rain has been falling for a few hours now... the bean field is still beautiful and how we pray for rain to keep it on track!  Hail Mary, full of grace... send us bountiful rains!
The grain bins are where our first home was - where we welcomed our first 4 daughters.  So many warm memories of our nest years!
Stepped into the house at the farm and found this to welcome me in their bedroom... the best picture ever with baby Luke 7 years ago.  Now they are expecting a new baby boy in mid November!  So many prayers!
Out looking for eggs while Pat unloads the hay bales... greeted by Joy's calf, Snowball!
Do you have a bottle for me?  Sorry Snowball you get feed now - no bottle any more cutie!
Me in front of the bale mountain before we pulled the tarp over it - just hubby and I!  He had to get on top, which is what Simon and Paul usually do!  He did it!

I was surprised to fit in my hour for 7 Sisters yesterday - had the peaceful beautiful church all to myself until the pianist came to practice for my last 15 minutes... a beautiful song to the Lord!

I am lifted up today by my fellow monk - Brother Victor!  I am thinking more and more that we are kindred spirits and today really brought that home to me.  Today he is writing about - On Writing!
Oh how I am smiling as I read this!  Yes, I need silence to truly get my many thoughts down in writing!  I feel less and at a loss if I cannot get around to my writing!
This made me giggle today as Pat had just pointed out to me that after spending my 5 hours with him that I would go home for my "3 hours in front of the computer"... I had to correct him - "1 1/2hours!"  Yes, with my reading before hand it probably adds an hour.  Now to come to once again share my experience with my dear monk, Brother Victor, it is just too much the same!  We even share the same initials - BV!
The task of writing for both of us is" intense, sacred, all-encompassing!"  That is why I get so windy and long-winded here as I always have so much to share!  I have too much illumination that springs forth sharing my farm life and my Catholic Family LIFE!  Faith/Farm/Family is rich with blessings to share!
Close to Jesus in the silence and the solitude  through Mary!
2 year old Hector is now a big brother to his 6 week old baby sister, Maggie Rose!
Evie and Maggie!

Maggie talking in baby cry talk...
"I see my big sister, who loves me!"
"He kisses my cheek like he loves me!  Like he loves me a lot!"
My special nephew, Philip, with his new bride, Kimberly Cross!  We lost my mother, the original Mrs Cross and now have added another wonderful Mrs Cross!
The empty creek bed - please Lord send us rain for the cows and calves in the pastures.
A sweet treat in the pasture - ripe mulberries to pop in my mouth on a hot dry day.
I am currently a duck farmer to David's 6 ducks - he has a duck egg business.
Looks like a lot of zucchini coming soon... yum!
A bee pollinating makes for a special shot on this morning of picking up bales with hubby.

The Gospel today is many layered with much of Jesus healing the servant of the centurion from a distance, taking the hand of Peter's mother-in-law and healing her to get up and serve them, and

When it was evening, they brought him many
who were possessed by demons,
and he drove out the spirits by a word and cured all the sick,
to fulfill what had been said by Isaiah the prophet:

He took away our infirmities
and bore our diseases.  Matthew 8

It continues to this day!  Jesus is there to heal us - He is in control and all we need to do is trust in Him, and allow his mother to take our needs to Him!

From grandma Lila today - the kids making yummy cut out sugar cookies!  So special!
Sprinkles make them extra yummy for the tummy, right Jude!
Frosting on her lips and a smile on her face... wish they would bring this grandma some of their good cookies.  Bless-bless, Barbara
