"Grace overflowed all the more"/Vigilance of faith- "each day....every moment of every day... no moment can be wasted!"

A year ago Joy and Rose over to be with my dad, who had passed out and warned us that we had only 4 days left with him.  Thanks to Covid 19 he had come to live with me for the last 6 months on hospice in my farm monastery.

So powerful for our Marshall family/domestic Church to have my father here.  He had brought our family of 13 into The Church 50 years ago!  Looking at the LOVE all 31 of us have for Jesus, Mary and His Bride, The Catholic Church - that was such a wondrous miracle of Holy Spirit proportions in how it set the stage for our Domestic Church/family to be blessed each day of our journey of Faith/Family/Farm!
Dad did recover enough to eat again and to pray again for a few more days!  It was an honor to assist him with the help of hospice into the sunset of his life - a natural death with comfort and dignity!
Picking up bales a year ago...  I love my bale pictures from year to year!
Adorable Joy 2 years ago now.  She was a big helper this year riding along with us in the pickup and with grandpa as he picked up the bales in the extra seat in his tractor!  She sure brings wonderful smiles and joy wherever she is!

Grandpa said that he had to go in to get his hug from his Joy this morning when he got over to the farm.  She goes to preschool every other day, but today she is home with her mom and grandpa.

The Gospel today is a great one of Jesus reminding us to be vigilant and prepared in Faith at all times!

Gospel Lk 12:35-38

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Gird your loins and light your lamps
and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding,
ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks.
Blessed are those servants
whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival.
Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself,
have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them.
And should he come in the second or third watch
and find them prepared in this way,
blessed are those servants.”

Mom and dad together in their Assisted Living in the Cities - it only lasted 7 1/2 months!  Mom fell and died in a day on March 16th, 2020, and a month later dad came to the farm.  After a procedure at Vets he was not accepted back in his home, so he came here with me!  His prophecy from 20 years before - "If anything happens to your mother, I am coming to live with you, Barb."  came to be!

How we were vigilant as dad was put on hospice the day he arrived here!  The same hospice I had worked as an RN for 15 years!  It was a great joy to share my beloved hospice with my wise wonderful father, Deacon Robert!  Not only did he bring us into the Church 50 years ago, but he was ordained a Permanent Deacon 44 years ago!  I was allowed to share daily in his religious life with morning and evening prayer and 3p chaplet and rosary on the porch for an entire growing season on the farm!

9 years ago we were being held up in prayer for our grandson, Patrick, after a traumatic birth!

"Little Lamb, Patrick Joseph - Patty Joe - continues to teach us that truly every hair on our head is counted - we are LOVED beyond measure! WE thank all for prayers and ask that they continue with every breath that we take and every beat of our hearts. "Jesus, we trust in you." ttp://familysoulstory.blogspot.com/ Bless-bless"

This is also voiced today by St Paul to the Romans!

For just as through the disobedience of one man
the many were made sinners,
so, through the obedience of the one
the many will be made righteous.
Where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more,
so that, as sin reigned in death,
grace also might reign through justification
for eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 5

Yes, "grace overflowed" through the LOVE of Jesus for each of us individually!

A harvest picture from a few years back - this years is in the books!  Pat's shoulder injury was well enough for him to climb the bins!  Thank you, Lord, for a safe harvest for 2021!
Out praying on the porch with the wind yesterday - my cottonwood tree is golden in the sunlight!  Dad got to watch the leaves come out and then to them being golden a year ago, even the first snow!
My two kittens helping me fold clothes yesterday...
2 years ago making a meal for Nancy's family and the Little Sisters in KC!  Suddenly we have a bit more than fake plans to head there tomorrow for a couple nights of prayer and hugs!
MEA 2 years ago - Nancy and I with her 5 spent some time there with mass and prayer, and meals and dishes!
There will be time at the feet of Jesus!
Susan/Hallel was there 2 years ago.  This year she will be in France, but we will be able to see very special sisters that have been gone for some years and are daughters and family to us!  We are very excited, and even though Pat and I will probably go in a few weeks again... I am always ready to go and so blessed by our time there!
Helping with work while we are there.  I have some plans to make a big spaghetti supper using our hamburger and canned spaghetti sauce.
Wow!  Talk about making a person pause and ponder their daily life!  Fr Ciszek writes - "each day... every moment of every day... no moment can be wasted."  It really convicts me to think about this and how it is not the case in much of my life!
To be truly vigilant is a far cry from how I live every moment of my life!  It brings to my heart the fact that frequent confessions is necessary and helpful in keeping this vigilance alive and well in our day to day lives!
He certainly had to cling to his faith in his 23 years in prison!

His book - He Leadeth Me is a great one!

Jesus is there for us with each new day!

With 2 daughters expecting now - how I cling to her in prayer!  Jesus and Mary, I love you!  Protect the life in all wombs and get my two daughters and their 2 new lives through this safely.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
9 years ago I was in El Paso with Maria for the birth of Patrick!  Prayers answered as now he is a healthy happy boy!

Dad today in Office of Readings by one of the North American Martyrs from today's feast.  Dad's message and love for The Name comes out - "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!"  Bless-bless, Barbara
