The farm fall work is on hold after the great rain we were blessed with a few days ago - 1 1/2 inches! So we were able to share mass and then brunch on the farm before we headed up to spend some quality family time away.
Looking like bright flames of the fire they have set in our family through Faith/Family/Farm! My sister, Carol, joined us and we sang along with Morning is Broken, and Our God beyond all praising. We love and miss you mom and dad!LOVE this and it was special to sing for mom and dad in this peaceful place of rest.O God beyond all Praising at St Michaels in Stillwater where mom and dad and I went to mass for some time together! Pat so loves this glorious hymn he wants it sung at his funeral mass!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!
The day dad passed - October 23rd this was the Reading for that day - the day that my dad entered into The Everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! LOVE that I now have dad with me in his well marked and beloved prayer book!Fr Denny asked us to read Isaiah 40- 55, so I have been reading in my dad's well marked prayer book and today was Isaiah 54 with 55 to follow tomorrow! How my dad loves Isaiah as reading Isaiah 55:1-2 was where the Holy Spirit spoke to him about coming into The Church with his entire family - all 13 of us!
In many ways Isaiah 54 spoke to me of my nun daughter, Little Sister Hallel..." For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name"... So much here to reassure us of His LOVE and care for us in our struggles with "a covenant of peace."
Learning how to crochet from her mother, and Ruth learned from her grandma Ann when she was in high school and has made afghan after afghan since! Such a wonderful legacy of gifting and loving through the years! Baby #7 is loved and surrounded by prayer from the moment we know he is there in the womb! Less than a month to pray and wait for our love to grow more with each new life!
Lots of peak colors on our travels to make us smile and marvel as well as much farming still going on once you get where more rain fell during the drought.
Pat and George are happy to see each other.
Bernadette and Josephine ready for trunk or treat at their Catholic School - St Maximilian Kolbe in Delano. Berna is a mermaid and JoJo is a princess.
A sign that it is colder outside now... my kittens all snuggled in.Jesus, Mary and Joseph looking on - Thanks dad and mom!
A great visit with my brother and wife nearby the cemetery and just blocks away from where mom and dad lived for 11 years in St Croix Falls. So many warm memories of my times there with them, most recent we were part of a tag team of caring for my parents 24/7 for 2 months until they moved into Assisted Living in New Hope.
Angela showing us the fruits of their remodel and hard work.
Such a vision they have... all they touch is a thing of beauty. Much like Ruth and Paul, who share this love for making things beautiful with their hard work!
There is a birthday boy today! Captain Joseph is celebrating his birthday! This was 9 years ago the day before Patrick came home from his 2 1/2 weeks in NICU after his traumatic birth!
8 years ago getting a birthday hug from 1 year old Patrick, who is the picture of health after his healing with so many prayers surrounding him!
Healed Patrick the day before his discharge - Born October 9th, taken by ambulance to Providence Hospital NICU shortly after he was born dead and brought back to life - "the sickest baby in NICU"
And a woman was there who for eighteen years
had been crippled by a spirit;
she was bent over, completely incapable of standing erect.
When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said,
“Woman, you are set free of your infirmity.”
He laid his hands on her,
and she at once stood up straight and glorified God. Luke 13
Does not each one of you on the sabbath
untie his ox or his ass from the manger
and lead it out for watering?
This daughter of Abraham,
whom Satan has bound for eighteen years now,
ought she not to have been set free on the sabbath day
from this bondage?”
When he said this, all his adversaries were humiliated;
and the whole crowd rejoiced at all the splendid deeds done by him.
Such a great memory 5 years ago - mom and her family at a wedding just a few months before she left this world! LOVE! Jesus, thank you for the huge family that surrounds us on both sides of our families! Our cup overflows! Thank you for the JOY of praying for a new life last night in my litany of FAMILY in my first hour of Monday spent with You in Adoration! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Without suffering in our lives - the JOY would not be near as wonderful! Bless-bless, Barbara
I take up my beads and find PEACE!
With every beat of my heart and every breath I take - Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!
Bernadette wanted some pictures of the American Little Brother Clement - walking away with Paul and Joseph in Saint Pierre, France 3 years ago for Hallel's final vows!
So much here today from mom and her man, Pope Benedict XVI -she read this 10 years and left it here for me each day of my journey with this Truth and Wisdom! "The Torah, which is Jesus himself..."
