So sweet with her birthday gift - St Kateri plush saint doll. Knowing how she follows her big sister, Therese in her love for baby dolls - this sweet Saint will be very loved by this 2 year old girl.
Maria shared that they are in the midst of packing for another move to Leavenworth, KS hence the shelves behind her are empty. How I am getting so excited to have 2 of my girls just half an hour apart in Kansas! Many fake plans to be there often in the next year!
Ruth's beautiful flowers and kittens on her beautiful porch yesterday. She and the kids got her garden planted and mine is not even tilled yet... It is drippy today , and I am off to a bridal shower in Sauk Rapids with Bobbi and the girls!
The best - this kitten jumped in my lap and played with my hands - talk about personality plus! She is a female and the favorite kitten.
Home from a meeting in Bird Island last evening. Around Redwood Falls there was so much rain that there are lakes in the fields. Too much rain reflecting the sunset. We got a wonderful inch!
Our Toyota rolled over the 300,000 miles while we were traveling last evening! That's a lot!
Ruth was flipping the parsonage, so Thomas Robert came into the empty church to pray for Fr Denny with 7 Sisters with me!
He spent a little time playing with his toys...
Rolling up grandma's arm made him giggle - his voice was happy and loud in the empty church!
Singing about Jesus with a rosary necklace made him laugh and dance.
I can be loud, and it sure is a big sound in this huge empty church with grandma.
How he loves his grandma - so humbling! Walking up and down the aisle and peeking at grandma here and there. He stumbled and fell down a few times an decided that he was getting tired, so...
He laid down with his special blankets and was soon asleep so that grandma could do my 10 stations of the Cross around the Church with my 4th decade of the Rosary - Jesus carries his Cross. Just as dad and I would pray the 4th Sorrowful on Tuesday and Friday on my porch at 3p for the 6 months he lived with me in my "Farm Monastery."
Two windows looking down on us - Simon and Thomas - the bookends of Ruth and Paul's farm family with 5 siblings between them. Simon is also Thomas' Godfather along with his sister, Mary, as his Godmother. So special will that connection be over the years! Up to check out the flowers and get close to the Lamb of God - Jesus in the tabernacle.
Oh my Jesus, I love and adore you! Today the Gospel reminds us of the LOVE Jesus asks of us in return for his unconditional LOVE and forgiveness we are given by Him.
Gospel Jn 15:12-17
"This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.
No one has greater love than this,
to lay down one's life for one's friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command you.
I no longer call you slaves,
because a slave does not know what his master is doing.
I have called you friends,
because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.
It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you
and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain,
so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.
This I command you: love one another." John 15
"Wounded, I will never cease to love."
