Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"
Lots of flags blowing in the wind...
Life on the farm would have been a lot different with 2 more boys after John. We now see a beautiful plan for our farm with the family of our oldest daughter- Ruth and Paul and their 7 children. Tom is #7.
Such a sweet companion for his old grandma! He loves me very much and that is truly humbling for me. Pat usually gets all the adoration and this is new for me.Tom by his great grandparents Verly and his great-uncle Don. The flag is for Pat's mom - Catholic Daughters...
Tom has a great heritage of wonderful farm families! Next we went to the infant loss section to visit Tom's cousin, Maximilian Bandzuch. Nancy lost him on Thanksgiving in 2017 in Shawnee, KS. She wanted him close to family so they buried him here in Marshall Catholic Cemetery - Calvery Cemetery.
Max would have been 5 going on 6 now. Nancy had George next, who is now 4 and then Regina Maria, who is 1 1/2 now.
We miss you, Max, and look forward to being united with you someday. I now have my 7 and 6 grandchildren in heaven - 13 family keeping our eyes, hearts and minds on heaven forever.
You certainly are such a gift for us sweet Thomas Robert! Yes, one of my boys - Tom's cousin is named Robert after my dad Deacon Robert and also who Tom is named after my dad lived his last 6 months with me on the farm on hospice. Such a blessing to me!
Honoring all LIFE no matter how small.
Memorial Day weekend. I would love to visit mom and dad's grave, but things are getting kind of busy here on the farm. They are buried about 4 hours away from here on the Minnesota border - the St Croix River.
The final words from the Gospel of St John today really gave me a jolt of JOY! It is this disciple who testifies to these things
and has written them, and we know that his testimony is true. There are also many other things that Jesus did,
but if these were to be described individually,
I do not think the whole world would contain the books
that would be written. John 21
Imagine all that St John is talking about as he was a disciple of Jesus and walked with him! Yet, also in my own life there is so much that Jesus has done for me, Pat, John, grandson, Patrick, Hallel's call to be his Bride, and on and on! That is just me and I have filled volumes enough to fill a room in my house! So true!
John's Spirit Juice Video - now continues with wife and children!
Next Tom and I went to pray my hour for Fr Denny with 7 Sisters. Tom was such a good boy. He was kind of distracted by the musicians practicing for mass this weekend. He even sang out from time to time. I predict he will have a beautiful voice like his brothers, Simon and Luke.
Grandma able to pray while Tom watched the musicians.
Fingers work too...
The Lord hears the little ones.
He stayed close and would put my crocks by my feet to hint that it might be time to leave. Even though he was such a good boy for grandma, and allowed me to pray for Fr Denny.
We got out of the pew and did 10 of the stations of the Cross on the beads for the 4th Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus carries his Cross. Tom would look up at the station and point and I would say - "Jesus."
Jesus is nailed to the Cross.
Tom appreciated that we were up and moving around the church. I felt like my prayers were magnified to share them with this sweet little good boy. He is such a wonderful gift of New LIFE in our farm family and our domestic Church/family.
My favorite thing- asparagus picked just half an hour before - talk about FRESH and wonderful! I would love to say that to the kids when we would be eating supper - "these were growing in the garden just half an hour ago." It just seemed so healthy!
Feeling nostalgic about our trip to France in 2018 for Hallel's final vows - we stayed in Fanjeaux in a old wonderful home. Soon we will be making many trips to Kansas as 2 of our daughters will be living there just 40 miles apart!

3 years ago when my dad lived here with me - Baby Birdie Barbara. She continues to be very smart and sharp - grandpa calls her - "Birdie the boss."
Jesus, it is such a joy to share this journey with so many of your LIGHTS! May I die to self so that you Holy Spirit will dwell in me and I can become your hands and feet -allowing you to continue to do many other things in this world. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara and the 34 plus many little Sisters and Little Brothers.
