Pictures are my weakness/"Remain in my love. - your joy might be complete." - +JMJ+

Caption - "He looks like he just lifted that cow over the fence."
One of my favorite of my farmer husband back in our early years of marriage.  We are looking at getting the cows and calves out to pasture now with the rain delay!  Yes, we got a wonderful rain last night!  Thank you, Lord!

Another fact about this picture is that I became hooked/obsessed with photographing the farm with baby animals and a hunky farmer husband.  Only one problem - he did not appreciate how I was always snapping away, so I have many of him from behind, which I still think is very wonderful to behold!

Ruth with her pet cow, Carmel, in the pasture after she showed her at the fair with her calf .  Tom just arrived with grandpa as Ruth is helping her husband bed the calves.  She is our farmer daughter, and she has a big farm family willing and able to do all the work it takes to feed the world.  Thank you, our wonderful farm family!

Spending time with her fair calf - maybe Carmel as a calf or one of her calves.

Ruth and her calf, Winnie, with matching black eyed Susans...

push me pull me picture of John and Nancy walking a fair calf.  4 H was big for hubby and his siblings and our kids and now grandkids!  Nancy's kids even joined 4H in Delano by the Cities and will be showing goats there and probably here to as they did last year.

Susan/Hallel on the back of one of Pat's dairy cows - he quit milking in 1986.  Sue always loved cows and even put a border around her bedroom.

Pat's dad, Gerry with the two farm boys - John and Brad are just 6 weeks apart.  We have Pat's dad to thank for our wonderful life on the farm.  He raised turkeys when he started farming, and then cattle.  Pat and Paul now are cattle farmers - starting from start to finish.  Baby calves to ready to feed the world wonderful beef!  Soon ours from this year will go to market - they are hormone free and they will go to Europe.

Ruth with her pet chicken, Chicklet.  She now has free range chickens that are roaming her yard and there is an egg hunt every day to find the eggs.  She sure loved the life she grew up with and now has it for herself.  Such a wonderful compliment to our life on the farm.

Tom a few weeks ago in the calf shelter with an adorable baby calf.  I think this proves my point - baby and animals and babies - now grandkids with big brown eyes!  I am hooked!
Now the bare toes, too!!!  Too much to take!
Rose with appleblossoms and adorable calf about 8 years ago.  Oh and the pink rubber boots!
The bottle calves with cute Josephine and Joy a few years back.

The Gospel today reminds us that we are loved and need to recall that every day and remain in that love, and our JOY will be complete no matter what comes our way.
Sisters, Bernadette and Josephine with cute bottle calves on their big baby bottles.
Pat feeding hay to some newly calved cows, and the chickens looking for a place to lay their eggs for the day.  That hay bale looks like a possibility, girls.
Thunder storms brought much needed rain!
Pat thinks about a wonderful inch.  Thank you, Lord, for looking out for us and loving us always and forever.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
My dad baptizing Maria - "Maria cries a lot."  Dad was a Permanent Deacon in The Catholic Church for 44 years!  He continues to bless me each day with his Prayer of The Church!  Thanks, dad!  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 34 including many Little Sisters and Little Brothers.
Baptizing Susan/Hallel - our sisters, Mary, were her Godmothers.  My sister died of cancer when Susan was 8 months old.  She left behind her husband and 20 month old daughter, Audrey.
Mary was also Godmother for our 2nd daughter, Nancy.  Watching over them now from heaven - they pray for her soul.

"I cannot see how anyone could live as a Christian and not feel the need for the constant friendship of Jesus in the word and in the bread, in prayer and in the Eucharist. ... And so we learn to thank our Lord for His kindness in not limiting His presence to the time of the sacrifice of the altar. He has decided to stay with us in the host which is reserved in the tabernacle.

For me the tabernacle has always been a Bethany, a quiet and pleasant place where Christ resides. A place where we can tell Him about our worries, our sufferings, our desires, our joys, with the same sort of simplicity and naturalness as Martha, Mary and Lazarus.

That is why I rejoice when I stumble upon a church in town or in the country; it's another tabernacle, another opportunity for the soul to escape and join in intention our Lord in the Sacrament.
