FAMILY - the fiber of my being!

This crazy looking bunch is thanks to the 70s!  We had just moved to Minneapolis after living in Flint, Mich for many years, while my dad was a Protestant minister... then he got asked to come to the Cities for dad to start the Chemical Dependency Unit at HCMC....Our journey continues...now my dad is working on getting his "faculties" to be a permanent deacon for the Archdiocese after being a deacon in Mannistique, Mi for 12 years.  "Twelve good years!" as my mom just said.
Here we are as new Catholics... so powerful!  We are soon to head out to adoration across the river at St Joseph Church, where my dad assisted as deacon at for 14 years -1981-1995 - they were living on Angel Hill in Taylors Falls... it is nice to have my mom right here... helping me to get the dates straight!  It has been wonderful to get in touch with the family history that my folks hold within their minds and hearts!

So with a calm and joy and peace in my heart - "Jesus, we are forever a part of our families - they follow us through life and into the next.  They are ours and we are called to love them and pray for them and intercede for them.  Thank you for the faithful prayers of my parents, and the modeling of that need and desire for me in my own life!  I am filled with wonder and trusting always at your fingerprint on our lives as we walk down the path that you laid out before us!  Jesus, we trust in you!

Bless-bless, Barb
"Let marriage be honored among all and the marriage bed be undefiled.....Let your life be free from love of money, but be content with what you have, for he has said,"I will never forsake you  or abandon you."  Thus we may say with confidence:  "The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid.   What can anyone do to me?"  Hebrews 13:1-8 The first reading in mass today.  Talk about black and white!
