Started this Monday morning praying with my parents! How I love to come out and share the office with them.
Dad had started talking to me about a topic, and it seemed that he was forgetting his litany of family prayers. "Dad, we depend upon those prayers!" Mom marvels at his memory as he recites all 120+ names including middle name. I assured mom that family is my "hobby" also and when I have my hours of Adoration each week that I recite names also, but I must admit that middle names are not included. I did fill in the "Marie" after Bobbi's new position with John in the litany of family.

My time here is ending today, and it has been a blessing to share mass and prayer and reflection on my family history that is part of my time here.
This morning it was discovering that my mother had worked outside of our home when the 3 older girls were young in New Hampshire and mom was pregnant with my twin brothers! I thought that my mother had always been at home and never worked out of the home, so this was news to me.
Knowing that my brothers were born premature and my brother, Lincoln, died 2 days old... my father mentioned today that mom did not know that she was carrying twins and was doing a lot of lifting working evenings at Crotched Mountain Hospital for the disabled. "I had to feed them and lift them, and remember driving home in the dark as I worked evenings and dad took care of you 3 girls."
The sense of the mystery of the Cross came very strongly to me, and the questions that will be answered someday when they cross over to the other side. To be reunited with Lincoln, my sister Mary, who died at 28 and many grandchildren, including my 7, and great-grandchildren, including my 4. So powerful and keeps our eyes and hearts set on heaven forever with Jesus, Mary and all the Saints and Angels!
They found a peaceful calf, who probably had a full belly of milk so he was content to have the family gather around him. I call Ruth their "pretty pretty mommy" and so she is!
My beautiful farm girl/wife/mother/farmer Ruth Ida!!! The daughter that loved the life she grew up with and now has the same life with her beautiful wonderful family of 6 children! Speaking to my mother just now about how wonderful that is for Pat and I to have Ruth living the life we had with our family and now the farm family on the farm!
It was so good to hear my dad pray for the safety on the farm! Yes, dad we depend upon the wonderful prayers that you so wisely surround our family with! We are blessed and lifted up!
The words of the Gospel today really rang a special bell of remembrance for me! "Your son will live! "and he and his whole household came to believe.

The first sign was changing the water into wine at the wedding at Cana!
Why? Because John lived through the battle for his life against brain cancer and through sharing that with our family and many... he led them to believe along with the Faith he had found after his half hearted prayer for Faith!

These two found each other after years of waiting and prayer for the answer to their call from the Lord to marriage! Waiting for marriage is hard, but a beautiful witness to this world so confused and misled by the lies of Satan!
Thank you, Lord, for John's healing and now wonderful exciting life ahead to marriage and family, we pray!
My mother getting out the baby pictures just a short time ago .... I am surrounded by so much love and prayers and thank God each day for both my parents being still with me and able to go forward together taking each day at a time.
Jesus, I love you and thank you for the gift of family and in sharing our Faith we have come to believe in your love and forgiveness for us! Dad was speaking today about Mercy having the forgiveness part as well as the healing part for us. May we in return share that with those the closest to us in our domestic church/family. Photo bombed by a calf leaving the calf shelter while we were taking pictures the other day... Back home to calving today! Pat described 3 calves all born at the same time this morning..."There was a new calf and two other cows were trying to claim it along with the mother, one had feet coming out and we reached in and could tell that the other one was ready to calf, too. So we pulled out the other 2, and in a short time we had 3 cows with their calves." That is being proactive and on top of things! We should be close to 70 calves now and that means about 100 to go! Lord, watch over calving... we try our best, but need your assistance in all of our lives and all that we do!
Luke was pretty cute and comfortable out there!
