I see my girls in myself at an early age, and grandchildren, too!
I seem to be having somewhat of a desert when it comes to sharing here. This was powerfully speaking to me this morning...
"Those who love and see each other feel irresistibly
attracted to each other; they cannot bear to be separated.
This, we may believe, was one of the reasons
why Jesus invented the Eucharist.
He wanted to shorten the distance;
to look on us, not alone from far-off heaven, but from near by,
so near that, if the sacramental veils of the Mystery were rent,
we should be able to hear His throbbing Heart
and see ourselves mirrored in the pupils of His eyes."
Fr José Guadalupe Treviño
The Holy Eucharist
In my memories from 2 years ago... it was warm enough for the crocuses to bloom by the house. All we have by the house this year big cold snow drifts! I also came across a movie of the grandkids swimming in the swimming pool from March 15th 3 years ago! Crazy!!!
A year ago I had the JOY of Maria and her 5 living here with us, while Joseph was in training our East. This sign graces my life and my kitchen and was gifted me by Gail, the mother of Joseph. So true and such a wonderful reminder to be thankful for Family... we can find a small slice of heaven there if only we put Jesus first and share our Faith/Family/Farm!
It was such a beautiful thought to consider how Jesus yearns to be always close to us and through the Word and Sacraments he can "hear his throbbing heart and see ourselves mirrored in his eyes!"
Grandpa getting a group hug!!! He cannot get enough... my hero of Family and LIFE!
Seeing my baby picture I realize how much I look like these two generations after me! Pat sure misses his baby girl, Evangeline Mary!Lord, I am longing to be close to you always and may nothing come between us. Thank you for this Lenten time in The Church and how it allows us to spend more time studying and growing in our knowledge and LOVE of you above all else. May we always come close to you in Sacrament and Word! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen
Only Joseph missing... and our 11 in heaven. Longing to meet them someday in heaven keeps us on the narrow path and yearning to meet them someday in heaven forever with Jesus, Mary the Queen of all the Saints and the Saints and Angels. Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke

His plan is pure excitement and character building for sure!
