A miracle indeed! Such a whirlwind trip within 24 hours of realizing that we could make it after all!! Now, in 6 days we will be heading to France... not just John, I and Nancy, but 18 of us plus 3 aunts and uncles... 21 of us! Another miracle of mountainous proportions!

Seeing each other for the first time days before her transformation from Susan to Little Sister Hallel!
The Gospel today is one of those great ones - Peter walking on water to Jesus, who is coming to them over the sea! I have great anxiety about our all flying across the sea as it draws closer and closer!
I need to trust and keep my eyes on Jesus and put one foot in front of the other with each detail that needs to be tended to. Leaving the farm is huge as we are truly planted here with much responsibility with all the animals we are caring for as we feed the world!
Nancy's wedding... I added Hallel in the back...it will be 8 years at the end of the month. Now we will be heading to France to celebrate Hallel's final vows/her Big Day/wedding day. All of our children will be wed as John married Bobbi at the beginning of the summer! My heart's dream is to have a picture of all of us around Hallel in France!
A wonderful help for me came in the form of "arrow prayers."
Arrow prayers can be shot up to heaven in a single breath and only take a second or two to pray. When I am praying for someone else or when my own words seem powerless in the face of what I am praying for, these types of ejaculatory prayers are effective.
Here are a some good examples of arrow prayers that anyone can use:
- “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” (The Jesus Prayer)
- “My Lord and My God!” (The prayer of Saint Thomas the Apostle)
- “Jesus, Mary, I love You! Save souls!”
- “God, come to my assistance; Lord, make haste to help me.” (Psalm 69—Introductory Prayer to the Divine Office)
- “Lord, I believe; help me in my unbelief.”
- “May the Holy Cross be my light.” (Jubilee Medal of St. Benedict)
The next time you are anxious, fearful, or tempted—especially when you don’t have enough time to hit your knees or enter the Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament—take one of these arrow prayers from your spiritual quiver and send it flying to heaven…and into the heart of Christ.
My champion for life and family under the apple tree with our firstborn, Ruth Ida, in 1980 eating apples.
I came across a good arrow prayer for me considering the circumstances of my taking away all the control I give him over and over....“Oh Jesus I surrender myself to You, take care of everything.” Just as St Peter losing sight of Jesus and getting distracted instead by the winds and the waves all around him... I too allow myself to sink into the sea, and I cry out for help! "Lord, save me! Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him,and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"After they got into the boat, the wind died down. Those who were in the boat did him homage, saying,"Truly, you are the Son of God." Matthew 14
Yes!!! He is the Son of God... we see proof of it all around us and in our journey of Faith/Family/Farm! We need to give him homage and give our lives to him and trust!
Pat's mother and Pat went back two years later for Hallel's first vows! Now she is making it possible for us to go for her final vows! Thank you, dearest mother! We know that you are with us looking down from heaven. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb
The group around Hallel has grown from 5 of us to 23 of us in a week! And Pat's mother made it all possible, so she is a huge part of the miracle of the mountain moving and going over the sea!!! No doubt she is with us in spirit and in truth!

Three years ago at the county fair, which begins today with pre-entry day. Ruth and family are hard at it getting their projects wrapped up and the animals ready to show this week. Bring them home on Sunday and on the road to fly out of the Cities my noon on Monday! Crazy? Yes, and also amazing for our family sharing our Faith with JOY!
Yes, and Lourdes on the 17th!!! We love our Lady of heaven and earth!

Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary:
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
full of goodness,
show your love towards us.
Let the flame of your heart,
O Mary, descend on all people.
We love you immensely.
Impress true love in our hearts
so that we have a continuous desire for you.
O Mary, gentle and humble of heart, remember us when we are in sin.
You know that all men sin.
Give us, by means of your Immaculate Heart, spiritual health.
Let us always see the goodness of your motherly heart
and may we be converted by means of the flame of your heart.
Amen.
Immaculate Heart of Mary,
full of love for God and mankind,
and of compassion for sinners,
I consecrate myself to you.
I entrust to you the salvation of my soul.
May my heart be ever united with yours,
so that I may hate sin,
love God and my neighbor,
and reach eternal life with those whom I love.
May I experience the kindness of your motherly heart
and the power of your intercession with Jesus
during my life and at the hour of my death.
Amen.
Prostrate at thy sacred feet,
O august Queen of Heaven,
I venerate thee with the most profound respect,
and I believe that thou art the daughter of the Eternal Father,
the Mother of His Divine Son,
and the Spouse of the Holy Ghost.
Full of grace and virtues and heavenly gifts,
thou art the purest temple of the most Holy Trinity,
thou art the treasury and dispenser of divine mercy.
Thy Immaculate Heart, full of charity, sweetness and tenderness,
has given thee the name of Mother of Divine Clemency.
Therefore, in my affliction
and agony I present myself with confidence before thee,
our most loving Mother,
and I pray thee to make me experience the love which thou bearest us;
Grant me (specify the favor)
if it be the Will of God and for the good of my soul.
Amen.
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
refuge of sinners,
I beg of you by the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
and by the graces God has granted to you since your Immaculate Conception,
the grace of never going astray again.
Mother, keep me, a sinner,
constantly bathed in the light of your Immaculate Heart.
Amen.
