The conversation was close and both Bobbi and Hallel shared how they felt as through it was out of their hands and in the Lord's on their respective Big Day. Hallel especially shared how she felt unworthy and that she truly had to give it all over to her Spouse and trust.
David and Gus watching the vows ceremony on the hillside of the Green Cathedral.
Hallel kneels before their foundress, Little Sister Marie:
"With the grace of God, I promise obedience to God, to the Blessed Virgin Mary, to our Fathers Saint Dominic and Saint Francis, to our sisters Saint Catherine of Sienna, Saint Clare of Assisi, and Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, to you, Little sister Marie and brother Jean Claude - our founders - ... to bind myself to faithfully live the holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, in following closely the Lord Jesus poor and crucified, UNTO DEATH. He," the Lamb who is the Way, the Rule who guided me to the port of salvation." (this was in French, and we were given the translation)
As Hallel knelt there we heard her voice strong in English - "I promise unto death."
My tears leapt to my eyes at the force of this promise for our ears to hear at that moment of perpetual forever and ever til death... no hesitation and doubt and complete love for her Lamb/Jesus Christ!
Hallel receiving the Lamb!
Little sisters, receive the Lamb. The Lord puts it as a seal unto your hearts. It is the sign of your consecration to the Lord, of your union with Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. "He is the Way, the Rule who guides you to the port of Salvation."
Behold the Lamb of God, who reflects the Glory of the Father. Of the Glory of his most holy Passion, Light and perfect joy of our hearts.
From the ceremony these powerful words!
Grant me, Lord, your Holy Spirit, in your love have mercy on me: let me be united to you all my life long.
Yes! I pray this too in my life and that of all our family! Lord, give them safety and may this powerful time hold them close to your LOVE!
