I love to catch them with their animals/pink pigs in the sunlight during the pig show! something about their movement with their pigs as they weave around the ring that reminds me of a dance.
I arrived to find big sister, Mary, showing 6 year old Cloverbud, Rose, how to show in the bright sunlight. Mary certainly has shared with Rose her love for animals. Rose was afraid when she was little until she watched her big sister and learned about caring for animals. Family time supreme!
This will be in the bulletin this weekend! Pat thought that it would be good to share our JOY for Susan and what a wonderful option it is for all to consider... listen to His call!
We are now just days away from our big adventure/family sharing our Faith with JOY in France!! Nancy and Bill have started their first leg of driving to Bill's parents in Uniontown, PA! They will spend the weekend with family, leave their two youngest and fly to France on Monday from Pittsburgh! It is all getting very real all of a sudden!
David with Pinkie the pig in the sunlight had his first year of showing as a 4Her! Lots of blue ribbons and learned a lot ... Good job David!
One with a pink stripe! It is David's feast day today - St Lawrence! His middle name is that of his grandpa, Larry, so happy feast day to the both of them!
St Lawrence was a martyr and hence the Gospel today is the amazing one from John 12 - the grain of wheat that dies and produces much fruit! How true for us on this journey of Faith/Family/Farm... we must die to self in order to be His and produce much fruit!
Jesus said to his disciples:
"Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies,
it remains just a grain of wheat;
but if it dies, it produces much fruit.
Whoever loves his life loses it,
and whoever hates his life in this world
will preserve it for eternal life.
Whoever serves me must follow me,
and where I am, there also will my servant be.
The Father will honor whoever serves me." John 12:24-26

Simon and Mary have a lot to smile about... all their hard work through the summer paid off.
From the fairgrounds to the glorious church in front of the tabernacle for my Friday prayer for Fr Denny from our parish. I have joined a group to pray for our priests and my day if Friday for Fr Denny Labat! A wonderful friend through TEC all these years. The sweet innocent Lamb/Sacrificing LOVE for us with Jesus in the tabernacle and the Cross above... what JOY filled me our Hallel holds the Lamb close to her heart burning with LOVE for her spouse, Jesus! "Wounded, I will not cease to love." Looking at the Lamb this all makes so much sense! LOVE is humble obedient even unto death on the cross!
The 10th Station - Jesus is stripped of his garments/the humility station!
Just before Hallel joined her Community 10 years ago... she came home to discern where the Lord was calling her. She would go into the dark church at 6a to do a holy hour before mass... she sat in the pew by the 10th station each morning. "Why do you sit there, because of his humility?" "No, mom, because it is the last pew with a kneeler so others won't see me cry." Thank you , Archbishop Naumann, for bringing The Community to KC... it allowed Hallel to answer the call in her heart with a "Yes".
Joy with her grandpa watching the show... We are wrapping up baling and getting the cows and calves on fresh pastures and then the mountain of the 10 from Marshall will head to France!
Jesus, how we are overwhelmed by your love... may we let go of our control and give it all to you. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb
A thoughtful moment for Simon and his pink pig...
12 and 6... sharing time and growing in patience, and understanding!

Time to mow!!
