"As long as the earth lasts, cold and winter shall not cease." God to Noah after the flood... Time with my Jesus!!!

Nancy with her arms filled with her two youngest last evening during the family dance after supper.  I am predicting that baby George is going to be musical as he is wide awake and happy when there is singing and music with dancing around him!

I took some license with the first reading from Genesis today... after the waters had receeded after the flood wiped out all those living on the world and the dove came back with the olive leaf in his beak... God said this;
“Never again will I doom the earth because of man
since the desires of man’s heart are evil from the start;
nor will I ever again strike down all living beings, as I have done.
As long as the earth lasts,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
Summer and winter,
and day and night
shall not cease.”
With another snow day here and in Minnesota... it seems that the Lord is saying..."as long as the earth lasts cold and winter will not cease."  How farmer husband, Pat is praying for the warm up to begin soon as he is going to be calving 170 cows in less than a month.  Bring on the heat, O Lord!
Therese this is so wonderful!!!  You have given them a great gift that will be cherished.  Josephine is a wonderful likeness!
Mom and George taking a nap while supper was in the oven last evening.

The Gospel today is Jesus healing a blind man by touching him not once but twice!  When first he looks with his healing eyes... he sees men walking around looking like trees/one place I saw relating this to carrying the tree of life/the Cross... each of us is called to this!  This relates to much prayers for healing that fills our time and our family!
 Gus working on a watercolor of our town in France/Fanjeaux.  It is so special to share this time painting with the kids!  The vision of the kids is a thing of beauty to this old grandma.
A special view of family time dancing and playing and snuggling!
Family in motion and then we share prayer gathered together... rosary, intentions, the saints and Fatima prayer... around and around the circle from youngest to oldest including this old grandma!
 Many works of art as we celebrate our time in France for Hallel's final vows..."I promise unto death!"
 The version of Gus, which he spent a lot of time on drawing and painting.
As I pulled up to the Monastery in the heart of KC - Lumen Christi/LIGHT of Christ... Hallel was out shoveling the snow off the walk way.  She introduced me to some others as her mother.  It is such a gift to have my daughter here and sharing my day to day life with while here in Kansas City!
 So beautiful and peaceful to enter this humble yet LIGHT filled chapel of great beauty!  Due to the snow the one coming after me could not come, so I had extra time with Jesus!
Hallel came in while I was praying to replenish the oil in the vigil light that shines for us to know that Jesus is always present in the tabernacle!  There is so much joy to encounter with her being so close at hand these last two years!  Doing the little tasks of her humble beautiful life as a contemplative bride of Christ!  Each day she has mass and an hour sitting at the feet of Jesus in Adoration!
 Special prayers today to Our Lady of Lourdes as we have someone close to us in the MRI machine... now awaiting the results!
 Love this icon of Jesus eating Mary's chin out of love!  I have seen my girls with their babies as they pull their moms close to them in this way.  Loving them so much that they suck on their chins or kiss them with baby kisses!!!  Her son is on the altar - how I love to place each one of our families in the monstrance with Jesus!  There is a new little one in our huge family of over 120+ that was prayed for in this special way just today!  "Jesus and Mary, we love you, save souls." Powerful prayer time- the best hour and a half of my entire week!
Jesus and His Mother as the rosary beads travel though my fingers and the 10 decades lift up each of my children and their families, my husband, my family, Pat's family, our 5 Godchildren and their families, and my beloved Catholic Church... Very much is my prayer going to Jesus through Mary!  LOVE to spend this most precious time with my Spiritual Mother - life would be so lack luster and harder without her with me every step of the way down the narrow path following after Jesus!

This is so wise and wonderful and True!
Sitting at the feet of Jesus as Mary did - "She has chosen the better part, and it will not be taken away from her."

Jesus, our hearts and prayers are called to Trust in you - "Jesus is in control!"  said Hallel after she had replenished the oils and lit the wicks.  The Trinity looks on above the humble Tabernacle in which Jesus is present.  LIGHT of Christ!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb
My time here is special as I have two daughters to spend time with, and I am allowed to be with Jesus, too. Pat is not sure when he can come to bring me home, but it looks like I will have a few more weeks there before I need to go to Washington for Maria's son to arrive.  He will now come by scheduled C-section on March 13th!  That is the current fake plan for sure!
 He fits in so well!!! He is now sitting her sleeping and peaceful in his infant seat while mom and I are on our computers, Josephine is taking her nap, and the others are watching a show!
Grandma gets her snuggles in too!

Francisco Marto (June 11, 1908 – April 4, 1919), his sister Jacinta Marto (March 11, 1910 – February 20, 1920) and their cousin Lucia Santos ( 1907–2005) Known as the children of Fatima witnessed three apparitions of an angel in 1916 and several apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1917. The siblings were victims of the great 1918 influenza epidemic that swept through Europe that year. These 2 little souls suffered much before they died and offered it all for the conversion of sinners.

"The purpose of the Eucharist is your conversion,

your turning away from your own will so that it may

gradually disappear in your service to others.

You go to Holy Communion to be converted,

to establish the reign of Christ in your heart from then on,

and for His will to become your supreme value.  Every reception

of the Eucharist should confirm your adherence to His will.

Consequently, you should wish that Jesus would

foil your plans.  The Eucharist should prepare you for this;

it should contribute to the gradual demise of your egoism,

allowing Christ to grow within you.
