Today 2 1/2 year old Josephine started her first day of preschool. She was so big and brave, but it was hard to drop her off. Many thoughts in her direction until we pick her up soon. No longer the baby... she is growing up before our eyes. With her new brother... she is given reason to take steps to be a big sister. And she is doing beautifully!
Sweet baby boy in his infant seat will be week tomorrow. Grandma is having time away from home with her newest member and his family. He is fitting in smoothly and naturally! He was part of the plan for this domestic church/family!
Jesus reminds us today in the Gospel that we need only trust in him to provide for us the bread that we need to live! So true!!! The life-giving bread of Jesus in His Body and Blood are given to us each day in The Church!
I love to recall the story of a young fraternity brother of John at Farmhouse at the U of M... he was so in love with the Lord as an Evangelical. "Wouldn't it be amazing if we could go to church and worship every day?" John and Brad Lanoue looked at each other and said; "Yes! You can do that already in The Catholic Church!" It is a beautiful amazing perfect wisdom of The Church!

My huge wonderful family at The Farm in Wisconsin shortly after we came into The Church in 1971... all 13 of us!

I had the joy last evening of sharing my story of coming into The Church with my entire family, and then into my marriage to farmer Patrick, and our story which is equally filled with The work of the Holy Spirit as we embraced the call to be open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS for the world!

Pat at his sister's grooms supper when I arrived in Marshall for her wedding and saw Pat for the first time! The Lord's plan coming into focus at this point in my life!

Me just a week before I met Pat at his sister's wedding!
Now 40 years married to my Most Cherished Cross and I still await his amazing plan for my life and that of my expanding family! Today Maria will get the date we can be there to help her with her other 5 while she is in having her #6 child, a son! The current fake plan is for me to get a one way ticket to Washington to help and then await the Lord's plan for when I will return. Then we will welcome John and Bobbi's little one a few weeks later! Wonderful new little ones we cherish and protect no matter the cost!

Marge, Pat's sister, who led me to Pat, and the reason this city girl ended up on the farm... the day we headed out West like all the other flower children of our generation. The Lord led us to a Christian Commune in Bolder, Colorado and from a commune to The Catholic Church for me! In time to be that Catholic girl that Pat needed for his spouse! Yes, Pat's prayers were instrumental in my and my family's conversion! LOVE!

The lightfilled chapel at the Cenacle convent... I discerned a call to religious life by living with them through a January Term at St Kates and writing a paper on the vows of a religious - Poverty, chastity, and obedience! Daily mass with an aging monsignor was a lesson on how Jesus feeds us with His LOVE, Body and Blood each day!
"The communion rail is a
place of exchange.
The people give time and receive eternity;
they give self-denial and receive life;
they give nothingness and receive all.
Holy Communion commits
each to a closer union
not only with Christ’s life,
but also with His death:
to greater detachment from the world,
to surrender of luxuries for the sake of the poor,
to death of the old Adam for rebirth in Christ, the new Adam.”

Future Little Brother? He is certainly a wonderful cherished little brother in this family in Kansas City!

Shortly after we went from a family of 7 kids to 11! The Holy Spirit at work indeed!
Jesus, how I am overwhelmed by your fingerprint on my life's journey with my domestic Church/family! How I have been gifted with coming into The Church with them and each day is a gift! There is more than I can ever take in... Your Body and Blood, Jesus in The Word, the Saints, the rosary and your Mother given to us and brought into our homes from the foot of the cross! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah

My dad as Deacon Robert baptizing my baby Nancy with her Godmother, my sister Mary, who has been gone for 32 years from cancer. God's plans are hard to understand. Bless-bless, Barb
The moon aglow in KC last night!

We breathe in what the trees breathe out, and they breathe in what we breathe out. Forever overwhelmed by the beauty of God’s design...

Fra Angelico (patron saint of artists) is overcome while painting the Crucifixion, while the angels look on in awe.
I was just informed that his first name is Blessed John so mass was for a John as we lift up our John! LOVE!

George at his first doctors appointment with the help of big brother, Dominic... up to his birth weight and looking very content and pleased with his first week of life! We love you baby George - you are a wonderful baby boy to join our family and our love grows more and more!
