A cute one of two of my boys, Romeo and Patrick, in Washington state on the base... not much snow there in the winter, so they are outside a lot playing and making forts. They will soon have a baby brother, as Maria has her C-section scheduled on Feb 28th!
I am also in touch with Nancy as her baby boy is to come in a week! Grandma should be able to get from here to KC in the next week, but this weather sure is keeping me at home for now. The Lord's plan is starting to be revealed to us, and our famous fake plans are starting to be made as clear a mud. It sure helps to give it all up to Him and Trust!

Pat was so impressed with her stubbornness when he took her on walks when we were there with them shortly after Christmas! "She's getting so big and we are seeing her personality come out!"

Yes, Lord, I have strengthened my weak and messed up knees and now I have artificial knees! My lameness is in the process of being healed so that I can better face all that comes my way! In time to be there for my family in all ways that are called upon me! I know that trials will be part of the journey, and that the cross is hard yet where I find LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT! May I take up my cross and follow after you, even if I have to drag it from time to time... Jesus, I trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah

St. Paulo Miki was born at Tounucumada, Japan, into a wealthy Japanese family. He was educated at the Jesuit college, joined the Jesuits in 1580, and became known for his eloquent preaching, gaining numerous converts to Catholicism. He was crucified on February 5 with twenty-five other Catholics during the persecution of Christians under the Taiko, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, ruler of Japan in the name of the emperor. He preached his last sermon from the cross.
