God's command to this day!!! “Be fertile and multiply/I will demand an accounting for human life....For in the image of God has man been made."

After working together on a banner welcoming their baby brother on this snow day... there were a variety of emotions going on in the official portrait.  George was awake and peaceful even though his sister was in tears holding him...  A picture of life with 5, who were home getting into sibling ups and downs.  School today is welcome by all!!!
George is such a peaceful and welcome addition to our family!  So precious after the rough year and a half that Nancy has been through with 2 losses.  George is the picture of health and doing wonderfully gaining and growing!

Reading the first reading from Genesis today speaks the Truth that the Church gives to us... being open to LIFE in our families and that in now way is it ever OK to take a life no matter how small from conception to natural death.  God speaks of "lifeblood" and how we are made in the image and likeness of God...
"I will demand an accounting for human life.

If anyone sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed;
For in the image of God
has man been made.

Be fertile, then, and multiply;
abound on earth and subdue it.”
Genesis 9

This picture is worth a thousand words on the subject as to how we have gotten away from the Truth given us by God himself, then Jesus, Mary and now The Church carries forth the Truth!

All Life is to be cherished and protected from conception to natural death!  And we are not to listen to the lies of the world about limiting our families due to the overpopulation of this world.. we are called to be open to life and sharing in our family is a prime way to grow in holiness as we learn to share and die to selfishness as we welcome other members in our family and give without counting the cost.  How can this be true?  We are to raise our large families to be lights to this world and share the Truth from one generation to the next!
The 5 working on the banner for baby George!
The work of art takes form... Family is the domestic church where our faith is shared with JOY!

It is so special to share family prayer in the girl's bedroom each night here.  Nancy and Bill have been very good about starting this family tradition nightly!  So much more than we managed with our kids... we were good during Advent and Lent, but otherwise it would be hit or miss.  The rosary has entered in here since Nancy met our Lady very personally during her delivery of her son, Maximilian, at 20 weeks/stillbirth due to a cord injury on Thanksgiving last year.  Our Lady is so important to walk with us...especially as women, who are looking to our Lord and His Bride, The Church to guide us on our journeys!
My inner temple is filled with this light today as many prayers are being answered and are being lifted up with the ups and downs of LIFE!

Today we are back to our normal day around here... I have had calls from John and Ruth sharing how their lives are going.  They had worked cattle last evening and Rose had been called upon to record the numbers... a first grader with writing letters backwards and writing large and small will be interesting if they can decipher what she recorded.  This made me smile, but then to know that the snow is making all things difficult... I am also concerned for them on the farm.
 So close to my Lord!!!  Placing all of our families equalling 200+ in the monstrance with the Creator of the Universe in humble form is so powerful!  LOVE to place our new George in there with his maker, but he has been placed there while in the womb, too!
Hallel with me caring for the small details of the chapel in her day to day life as a contemplative bride of Christ!

Lord, how I love you and need you and am so filled with your LIGHT that comes to me along with your Truth for which I will proclaim to the highest heights!  There is no gray areas - it is totally black and white when it comes to LIFE!  It is always precious and to be protected and cherished no matter the cost!  We are called to be open to life and to raise LIGHTS for this world of sin and darkness!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Monday was a holiday and so we were here when Hallel came, and recorded it for history.  With the weather back home and all that needs to get done for calving in a few weeks... I might have to fly home rather than get a ride.  Trying to get back home to the record snow that just keeps on coming.  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke

Behold the Sun of holy Church, that scatters the clouds
and renders heaven again serene!  Behold the heavenly Rainbow,
pacifying the storms of divine justice!" - St Leonard
