Luke came from the farm with a pizza box shield to join in the battle with nerf swords and light sabers. The 3 we brought along for a short visit in Kansas City are fitting in with Nancy's for lots of fun times!
Josephine is the youngest for a few more days and then she will have a baby brother induced on Wednesday. She is growing up before our eyes, and we are all waiting to see how she embraces a new baby. Nancy has had 2 losses since JoJo.. one was Maximilian, who is a stillborn son buried at the cemetery in Marshall. Our losses make us cherish those that we are given to share this life with!
The boys gathered around a magazine... now they are down harassing the girls in the basement... 4 boys and 3 girls all 10 and under!
Watching Pancake robots... the 7 at a quiet moment.
On our way here Pat and I shared a friend's response to me... informing me as to why he is pro-choice, and how we as Pro-life shame others and judge, and all we want to do is get the babies here and then do not support the mothers or child. The long sharing was basically justifying all that the last 8 years before Trump did for our country. It amazes me at how we look at it so completely opposite from one another. Both Pat and I felt shell shocked and sad at how gray it can be when we are asked to stand up for the Truth! Yes, Jesus did not cast stones at the woman taken in adultery, but he firmly told her to "go and sin no more." Judgmental? No, but directing her to the narrow path that leads to heaven!
Bernadette and Rose sharing a bed... both are 6 now and Rose is in first grade and Berna in Kindergarten.
Those words of conviction from our friend fill me with much sadness and "fear" at how misled are many that we love! Jesus tells us today one of the 365 times he tells us to "do not be afraid." As St Paul reminds us... we are armed to evangelize and share the Truth without hesitation of questioning..."the grace of God that is with me." I Cor 15 St Paul shares that this is why he became another Apostle after all the others as he never walked with Jesus in this world, but met him on the road!
These twelve played together last evening... Nancy and Bill's friends with their 5 adopted children shared in the fun! Twelve kids make it super crazy fun!
Adoption is such a beautiful gift... living proof! How we long to share The Truth. St Teresa of Calcutta is such a beautiful example of showing care and compassion and love for all... yet not sugar coating or minimizing the Truth that all LIFE is sacred from conception to natural death! "A country that kills its young, has lost its' soul."
Napping Joy with the beautiful mural her parents painted in the bedroom of the home that is now ours... they live on the farm! So amazing to have a young family now on the farm!
Adoration in front of the tabernacle in the bright evening LIGHT streaming in... so peaceful and where I need to focus.
Jesus, I love you and long to be totally yours! "Wounded, I will not cease to love!" Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb
The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world.
