A bouquet of beautiful faces from Hector's one month birthday... tomorrow he will be 2 months and I hope to have an updated one! I can see here that the two girls are so much alike!
Evangeline Mary is 2 1/2, and was my special fun companion while I lived with Maria for 2 weeks at the birth of their new baby brother, Hector.
No, this is not Evie... this is her older sister, Therese, at the same age! As Maria says; "I have identical twins!" They are just 8 1/2 years apart!
Her two girls of the 6... yes, they are blessed with 4 brothers... are so much alike indeed! If Evie can be any where near as thoughtful and kind and caring and nurturing with a heart of the poor, as he big sister is, she will be truly a smaller version of her big sister! Therese has cared for her little sister from day one, and now she is doing the same for baby Hector, who will be 2 months old tomorrow!
Evie and Hector are so adorable together, and Maria says that he is her favorite snuggle buddy!
Therese with baby Hector... always close by or with her sharing what she is doing quietly.... I am sure that she dressed him, changed his diaper as needed, and gave him tummy time along with holding him whenever she can.
She is also a avid girl with great ideas and projects, so then Hector is in his seat in the corner or on the counter.
Hector getting a Patrick snuggle, so there are other arms wanting to spend some time snuggling with their baby brother, who is so good and sweet and growing like a Lebanon Cedar! I just had to say that as it is in the Psalms so often expressing the amazing growth and beauty of this tree... It must be quite something to behold and so is our sweet little Hector!
The excitement is building at the thought of our family time supreme in just a little over a month! 5 week or so!
The look of LOVE!!!
It seems that either Evie and Hector are super cute to get pictures of, or Evie is pretty much always close by him when he has tummy time. I think both are true. When I was there it was quite obvious that jealousy was not going to be an issue, rather too much love and desire to be really really close to him at all times!
Evie and Romeo dancing... there is a lot of lively music (Christian) in their home either on the computer or thanks to dad, Joseph, playing guitar and singing!
All 3 of the girls' homes there is usually a dance after supper in the family rooms! A true expression of family sharing JOY and LOVE!

For the most part, these two are quite the dynamic duo.
They play wonderfully together, and are very sweet towards one another.

It is such a powerful time for The Church as we are reading John 6 as the Gospel in the midst of first Eucharist that comes with Easter Season in The Catholic Church! Reading these words of St Therese as she describes her First Communion... Wow!!
St. Thérèse of Lisieux tells of the experience of her First Holy Communion...
"I would not tell you everything, even if I could, for there are certain things which lose their fragrance in the open air, certain thoughts so intimate that they cannot be translated into earthly language without losing at once their deep and heavenly meaning. How lovely it was, that first kiss of Jesus in my heart — it was truly a kiss of love. I knew that I was loved and said, “I love You, and I give myself to You forever.”
Jesus asked for nothing, He claimed no sacrifice. Long before that, He and little Thérèse had seen and understood one another well, but on that day it was more than a meeting — it was a complete fusion. We were no longer two, for Thérèse had disappeared like a drop of water lost in the mighty ocean. Jesus alone remained — the Master and the King. Had she not asked Him to take away her liberty, the liberty she feared? She felt so weak and frail that she wanted to unite herself forever to His Divine Strength. And her joy became so vast, so deep, that now it overflowed. Soon she was weeping, to the astonishment of her companions, who said to one another later on: “Why did she cry? Such a gentle look... sweet Romeo is so loving and kind, yet he can certainly be all boy with his guns and swords and light savers and full of action!
Today Jesus tells us in the Gospel... John 6:30-35
So they said to Jesus,
"Sir, give us this bread always."
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life;
whoever comes to me will never hunger,
and whoever believes in me will never thirst."
How can this be? I do hunger and thirst for my Lord! But he is always there with each new day to feed us His Body and Blood, so we need never be hungry or thirsty! His LOVE enters us and dwells in us and the Holy Spirit is our motivating force which allows us to become his hands and feet, speak the Words of Truth to all those we encounter most especially those in our domestic Church/family!
Bobbi came back from college and joined with us to save one life at a time by working individually with pregnant girls and help them see that there are answers to their impossible situations... Abortion is not the answer... you will forever regret that rash and wrong decision! Give life to that baby and we will be your friend and help you with all that comes.
I love that my daughter in law has taken such a strong stand for LIFE! We are united for LIFE along with John and his sisters!
There was some talk of getting my garden tilled today, but the tiller is not working for another week, and Ruth is on me about my poor gardening habits, and rightfully so. I am lazy and poor when it comes to weeding and tending to it. I say that it skipped a generation with me, as my mother and mother-in-law are wonderful gardeners as is Ruth in their footsteps! I always hope that each year I will do better... I guess there is hope!
Jesus, I am humbled by my hard working kids and grandkids... maybe this new knee will make a difference this year? I am needing to be a better follower of you in what I do throughout the days... Writing here is my passion, and may other areas of my life become better examples of my work for the family and the farm and my Faith... all 3! You allow us to be drop in your ocean of LOVE as you give us so very much with each new day in your Church! How amazing to read the words of my great hero and enlightener as a baby Catholic 46 years ago... Venerable Thomas A'Kempis!
Fed with the Bread of LIFE..."Oh, wonderful condescension of your affection toward us, that you, The Lord God, Creator and Giver of life to all, should see fit to come to a poor soul and to appease its hunger with all your divinity and humanity!
