The two youngest in all their soft adorableness! It looks like the epitome of soft and special!
I am over the moon in love with this!!! He is so perfect!!!!
Joy went out with grandma in the sunshine to pick some lilacs... they are late this year and sparse with hardly any really open yet.... I usually gage them by Mother's Day, but this year they are super late along with everything else. We have no garden planted and only 3 fields in! So many prayers for the farmers! There is more talk of rain tomorrow... Sigh!
I am so in love with lilacs that it gives me a lot of happiness to just see them on the table in my kitchen. And Joy's smiling face added to my JOY!
Sharing the readings morning and night with hubby as we pray morning and evening prayer... a lot of the prayers are for warm sunshine! John has been the Gospel throughout Easter... we just began the 5th week of Easter! Today Jesus speaks about how the Holy Spirit is going to come and dwell in us...
"I have told you this while I am with you.
The Advocate, the Holy Spirit
whom the Father will send in my name
he will teach you everything
and remind you of all that I told you."
Where do we find all that He told us? In Jesus in His Word! How I love to read the readings numerous times, and to discover what the Holy Spirit tells me... reminding me of what Jesus told me with each new day!
My husband was here checking on fences... there are 6 cows and 9 calves out behind our place in the pasture here. Three sets of twins and another one coming here today to get them on grass and out of the muddy farm yard. There is more rain coming tomorrow, so today is the day!
We have been making fake plans with our Washington family now switching to the idea of flying them here for the time between Father's Day and the 4th of July... The thought of all our kids together one way or another, and most of all the grandkids having a week or more together on the farm... time in KC with Hallel and maybe two of her sisters that she hasn't seen since her vows almost a year ago, and some nieces and nephews she has yet to meet.
So many exciting plans zooming in and out of our hearts, minds, souls! Family time is right up there with sharing our Faith as a family... the combination of the two along with our time together sharing our Faith and Family on the Farm = A small slice of heaven!
With his biggest sister, Therese! Those look like more dark brown eyes coming! I think you can tell that they are a Catholic home by looking at their walls not to mention the brown scapulars that they all wear. Hector will probably get his soon... a good reminder of our journey of Faith with Jesus and Mary!
Hallel had always loved her Lord in the Word, so she felt led to join this Community of the Lamb in France and throughout the world. Just as she said "yes" they had come to the U.S. for the first time to settle in KC! Archbishop Naumann is my hero as he brought them to just 6 hours from our home to theirs! I have fallen in love more with the beautiful example of their looking to Jesus in His Word beginning the night before. I get such a surge of excitement and JOY in me as I read the readings for the next day before I go to bed at night! "What will it be? How will the Lord speak to me and fill me with his Truth?" He never disappoints!
Jesus, your Word allows us to hear you speaking to us through your Holy Spirit! How we are shown your Truth with each new day! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
