Getting a head scratch with brother and cousin looking on.
The day is escaping me and the crew is out helping grandpa, Ruth and Nancy clean out the chicken house as we have 75 rapidly growing chicks ready to move here from the heated shop. I am on baby duty with a sleeping George while grandpa has a crew of 7 from 14 to 2 helping (?) him.
Jude and George on Sunday give us lots to smile about and represent the 3 new boys, who are so healthy and thriving and content and beautiful in every way! Triple the LIFE in our family and sharing the lives on the farm of many of God's creation - farm animals!
Such a touching story today in the reading from Acts! Putting ourselves as His Disciples, Paul and Silas, being beaten with rods, hurt and bleeding put into a dank dark prison and chained to the ground... yet, so filled with LOVE for Jesus that during the night praying and singing hymns of love and Joy to their Savoir, suddenly an earth quake that shook all the doors open and the shackles were opened and pulled from the ground. Free? When the jailer saw this he knew he should take his life, but Paul called out to him to stop as they were still in the jail. The jailer was so moved that he asked..."Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Acts 16.
Then Paul and Silas could share with them the LOVE and Truth of Jesus, and they bathed their wounds and the jailer and his household were baptized...He brought them up into his house and provided a meal
and with his household rejoiced at having come to faith in God.
Our example of Faith as we continue to love no matter the suffering we endure whether physically or mentally or spiritually... "Wounded, I will not cease to love." the motto of Hallel's Community of the Lamb is so powerful to witness for the world around us that is dog eat dog, or it's all about me, or it hurts too bad and I give up... In loving even when wounded we can minister without counting the cost and hopefully many will come to follow Jesus also.
Cows, calves, girls with smiles and dandilions… a painting in picture form.
Jesus, how we long to recall with each wound we are given by this world with the blatant promotion of the culture of death and sin and darkness that we have You, Jesus with your Mother, Mary the Mother of God, and all the of Saints with us in the ship of The Church... thus we can find that LOVE in our hearts, minds and souls and sing hymns or praise to you knowing that we are Yours! Today in the Gospel you share with us the promise of the Holy Spirit coming to dwell in us, and so it is!
"But if I go, I will send him to you.
And when he comes he will convict the worldin regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation:
sin, because they do not believe in me;
righteousness, because I am going to the Father
and you will no longer see me;
condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned." Yes, Lord, Satan has no power here... you are in control! You fill us with hope and JOY! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Mexican feast at Ruth's last night... reminded us of Cinco de Mayo 2 years ago when Hallel was here for her home visit. Pat was planting beans on May 5th, and now none are in. A year like on other! Bless-bless, Barb
Grandpa is always happy to have his lap full of little ones! George is secure in that big hand! David, the cook, got a snow cone machine and made snow cups for all the kids. Huge hit!

Danielle Rose - the saint that is just me
Danielle Rose - pursue me
Casting Crowns - Praise you in the storm
