"Holy of holies"/His Glory filled the temple/touch Christ's tassel on his cloak

It was a big weekend of family time!  I so enjoyed having Mary perform her humorous speech as we all laughed to our hearts' content!

Love to see Mary and her wonderful dad, Paul, sitting in my mother's chairs.  "Yes, they are comfortable."  Mary's namesake over her shoulder.  May she always hold you close to her Immaculate heart sweet Mary Angela!
'Sally Sleuth" attempting to discover the disappearance of their classroom hamsters...  It was good clean fun, and she does it so well from one character to the next.
Ruth and Joy attended and enjoyed!
Adorable George had fun too!  He will be one on Thursday!   Followed by Hector in 3 weeks and then Jude 3 weeks later!  That was a very fast year indeed!  It was fun to see him over the weekend and Jude came, too!
Mary did well at her meet and brought home a prized rubber ducky for taking 7th place out of 35!
Sally discovered the sad truth...  I won't spoil the outcome.
With a foot of snow overnight Saturday to Sunday... we were unable to make it to mass in the morning and had to attend mass at 5p with the youth and their parents.  I sat with Ruth's family and was touched by the heartfelt praying that 15 year old grandson, Simon, did next to me!

After mass we had a glorious half hour of Adoration and Praise and Worship!  The temple/sanctuary was so stunning as we awaited Jesus to arrive in the monstrance!
The First reading today took me there...
The priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD
to its place beneath the wings of the cherubim in the sanctuary,
the holy of holies of the temple.
The cherubim had their wings spread out over the place of the ark,
sheltering the ark and its poles from above.
I Kings 8

The Holy of Holies!!!
Kutless - Take me in to the Holy of Holies
 The altar aglow...
Jesus is here!!!  Raising clouds of incense as our prayers rise to Him!  Finding Jesus in the silence of our hearts as we fall at his Feet!

When the priests left the holy place,
the cloud filled the temple of the LORD
so that the priests could no longer minister because of the cloud,
since the LORD’s glory had filled the temple of the LORD.
Then Solomon said, “The LORD intends to dwell in the dark cloud;
I have truly built you a princely house,
a dwelling where you may abide forever.”
I Kings 8

At the foot of the Cross and in the tabernacle and within us as we just have received him in The Eucharist!  We are healed and we have touched the tassel of his cloak and Jesus himself in his Body!

Come, wed my heart this very day,

That thus united here below,

I may not fear eternal woe.  - From A Hymn to Jesus

  “From the Eucharist
comes strength
to live the Christian life
and zeal
to share that life
with others."

Pope St John Paul II

Jesus we love you with our ALL!!!

The Gospel today reminds me of a similar experience I witnessed thanks to an invitation from Susan/Hallel while she was in the Discernment house in St Paul. It was called Cora Jesu (heart of Jesus) and included Adoration Praise and Worship and Reconciliation throughout the church with many priests.  Around the bottom of the monstrance was a long altar cloth with both ends with tassel fringe and all were invited to come up 2 at a time to hold onto the hem of his garment and pray close and touching our Lord!  So powerful and most of all when a nun of many years knelt before her beloved spouse and prayed!  LOVE!

The Gospel from Mark
After making the crossing to the other side of the sea,
Jesus and his disciples came to land at Gennesaret
and tied up there.
As they were leaving the boat, people immediately recognized him.
They scurried about the surrounding country
and began to bring in the sick on mats
to wherever they heard he was.
Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered,
they laid the sick in the marketplaces
and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak;
and as many as touched it were healed.
Mark 6:53-56
Adoring Jesus!!!  The Church was full of kids with their parents and families!  It was a true sweet blessing to me to hear Simon singing with his wonderful voice behind me, kneeling in prayer next to his wonderful dad!

I really enjoyed sitting in the midst of Ruth's 6 for mass and hearing them all so jubilantly and joyfully singing through the mass!  It reminds me of my days with my kids around me.  I guess the Protestant singing out has filtered down the generations now to 3rd generation!
Father carried Jesus around the Church for us to come close to Jesus!  It was a powerful time of recognizing Jesus and His LIGHT and LOVE for us!

Jesus, I love you with my ALL!  Thank you for allowing me to touch your Body and to make it part of me!  I know that your healing is at work in my life and heart and soul.  May I die to self so that you may live in me!  Jesus, I trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Talk about beautiful Holy of Holies!  The Basilica of St Mary in Minneapolis a year ago. It is where Pat and I were married 41 1/2 years ago and my home parish before we got married!  We lived in Kenwood and this was our parish when we came into the Church 7 years before we were married!  I fell head over heels in love with The Church to this day, and would attend daily mass here.
We stopped in during Christmas last year...  Bless-bless, Barb

No we don't have 2 yard lights... that is the full moon last night when I returned from my time receiving Jesus and adoring Jesus!  His world shows His fingerprint in it's majesty!
Closer... over a blanket of a foot of white beautiful snow!

The Saints Overhead and Our Lady... the Basilica of St Mary, the Mother of God!

My siblings were married there, too, over the years!  Back for Jim's wedding as I was pregnant with girl #4 - Susan, and Nancy was in the wedding!

Sewing red plaid for 5 - me and my girls!  The time of bangs, too!  "And then you had that boy, after 4 girls with ribbons in their hair!"  There was a loud sigh of JOY when I walked into Church with the blue bundle, and the kids still hear about it to this day!

On Feb. 10, the Catholic Church remembers St. Scholastica, a nun who was the twin sister of St. Benedict, the "father of monasticism" in Western Europe. Let us pray that we, alongside our siblings, might also become great saints! #EWTN #Catholic #prayforus https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/saint/st-scholastica-143

Everyone needs to read this.
CBS and Katie Couric must be in a panic and rushing to reassure everyone that this is not network policy--re Andy Rooney's commentary on prayer. Folks, this is the year that we RE-TAKE AMERICA!
Andy Rooney and his prayer:
Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what's the big deal? It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire Book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking Him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.
“But it's a Christian prayer” some will argue.
Yes, and this is the United States of America, founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect -- somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.
If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.
If I went to a ping pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit.
When in Rome ......
“But what about the atheists?” is another argument. What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of earplugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your !
Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.
Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their s are telling us to cease praying.
God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me.
The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn't care what they want. It is time that the majority rules! It's time we tell them, "You don't have to pray; you don't have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him.”
That is your right, and we will honor your right. But by golly you are no longer going to take our rights away! We are fighting back and we WILL WIN!
God bless us one and all...God bless America! Despite all our faults we are still the greatest nation of all. God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.
Keep looking up. Amen!
Andy Rooney
