Love how many blessings we are given by our Church with each new day!
Pat receiving the blessing next! How my Most Cherished Cross loves to hold the little ones at mass each week!
Like his grandpa Big Dave also is a baby lover, and it looks like Jude is happy to have some attention from his big cousin.
Now girl attention. Rose again and Joy think that baby Jude is a dream boat!
He is a dream boat!!! He is such a happy healthy boy, and we laugh at his cuteness eating ice cream or playing with ice cubes, or most anything that he does is super cute! We are biased, too!
These 3 served at mass this morning... sharing mass as a family is a gift that Pat and I thank the Lord for. No matter whether we are separated by hundreds of miles - we are united in the Eucharist!
Love this today on the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the temple...
Feast of the Presentation of the Lord*
February 2
Today the Church celebrates the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
at Jerusalem. In that same spirit, we present ourselves today to the Lord,
especially in the Mass. Present yourself to Jesus today.
Receive His life-giving light and love.
“Simeon gave back Jesus to His Mother,
he was only suffered to keep
Him for one moment.
But we are far happier than Simeon.
We may keep Him always if we will.
In Communion
He comes not only into our arms
but into our hearts.”
St John Vianney
There was a lot of excitement after breakfast in the church basement - "I want to get home and start working on our snow fort!" says Luke and Joy and David and Rose.
Grandpa dug a big hole out of the side of the wall of snow with the payloader. The kids are all working hard on making two rooms and "a room for the snowballs." They will need to defend the fort!
A wall of snow!
Father talked about starting Perpetual Adoration filling all 168 hours of the week around the clock! "Spending time with Jesus will reflect on your entire week!"
Up on top and then they slide down the hill... lots of fun and excitement!
Luke helping Joy walk on the top, so sweet!
Joy went to the garden to find mom's hoe to dig in the snow fort. She is getting so big and starting to fit in with the big kids! So smart and loves to be outside!
I have loved Adoration, and the thought that it will be going on always in the old nun's chapel in the convent/St Joseph's chapel. I will love to pop in from time to time including my hour. As it is now I am spending time in front of the tabernacle on Fridays when I pray for Fr Todd with 7 Sisters. It will now be Jesus in the monstrance and how I love to be with Him! Thank you, Lord!
The team at work while...
Grandpa, mom, dad, Simon and David, and Rose writing down the numbers - were vaccinating the cows.
Family job on a nice afternoon.
Down the shoot!
170 cows make for a quick shot and pour on... Rose writes down their number
Nice to see the blue sky peeking through after many cloudy days.
A year ago Joy dancing on David's shoulders - I think she is now too big for that, but her and Dave are still very close.
There is some emotion to have had my oldest turn 40 a month ago, and now my youngest 31 tomorrow. LIFE goes forward and we, of course, are grateful that we have the new healed John with us after the battle we faced against brain cancer 11 years ago. John's 10th birthday was just a few days ago when his stem cell transplant happened. We are so grateful that he is now a husband and father and has a new job that looks to be a good fit as an Activities Director at an Assisted Living close by the Church.
Lord, we are yours and we hold you close to our hearts always. May we die to self so that you may live in us and we may become your hands and feet. How we LOVE to sit at your feet in Adoration and give all our love and attention to you. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
We are trying to get down to see our nun in the next few weekends! We were good and kept away and didn't call during Advent as they wish, but now we can and will visit her and her Family of the Lamb! Real hugs are so special to have now that she has been in Kansas City for the last 3 years and hopefully a home visit to the farm this summer! Bless-bless, Barb

Happy Feast Day
Our Lady of Good Success
Feast day: February 2
Our Lady of Good Success is one of the titles of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This title is shared among numerous images around the world, a number of images in Spain, one in Quito, Ecuador, and one in Paranaque City, Philippines. In Ecuador and Spain, the feast day of Our Lady of Good Success is celebrated on February 2, the day she appeared to Mother Mariana de Jésus Torres along with the archangels and St. Francis of Assisi (thus coinciding with the Feast of the Purification).
