In the back row on the right is Little Sister Alma from Austria. She was in the original group that came to start the Foundation in KC 12 years ago. We grew to know her and love her a lot! Well, yesterday when Hallel called she also greeted me for my birthday and shared a sweet story that she had shared this simple song with her nephew...
I learned this at Family camp as a kid and sang it in prayer groups as a Charismatic! It has been loved by my grandkids when they were little and they would be quiet and listen to me as I would sing this sweet song of our LOVE for Jesus. I taught it to the little Sisters years ago and Alma shared that it was the first English song she taught her "little nephew" in Austria! So special! That Susan squint!!!! From what I gathered in my conversation... Hallel has 2 jobs in this beautiful foothills of the Pyranees Mountains/ Saint Pierre! She is in charge of construction going on during the day and assists an elderly little sister at night. With the aging original sisters... some in their 80s and 90s I imagine that these are helping them much like a nursing home would. Hallel and I are sharing similar jobs in that area.I know that Hallel adored the only sister that has passed away from their order - Little Sister Reginald! She was the same age as her grandma Ann when she died at 97! Hallel assisted her with her cares and was very touched by her and her passing away was a great event and she is highly honored by her and The Community. It seems that Hallel has found two nitches that suit her... Carpentry and nursing! Some of her dad and some of her mom! We love to see her serving her amazing Community of the Lamb and according to Alma - they are very happy to have Hallel there loving and serving the older sisters!
Ruth and the kids stopped in for an egg hunt - they found 3 dozen eggs!!!Since it was my birthday we went out to the field with the hundreds of bales for some pictures for 2020! Rose and Joy on the bale in the sun and the wind! It got up to 82 yesterday!
Windblown and sun squint... it is still a gift to grandma! Last year Joy cried from fear when she was placed on the big round bale - this year she is braver!
Three years old and 8 years old and they shared a room now in the new remodeled upstairs! Good friends and sisters!Wind blown grandma too!
It's better with their wonderful mom! She is such a shining example of loving the farm and doing the work in such a positive way!
Missing Mary, who had a swim meet last night!
My wonderful roses from Pat and the St Barbara Chaplet that John gave me joined me for prayer on the porch with my dad yesterday. l shared the card John wrote me with my dad and wept through it! So sweet in his words about how much my prayers for him have meant, and now he is returning the prayer for me and dad and my dad!John and Bobbi brought the babies and a cake for me! It even worked out for Jude to see grandpa Pat! Ice cream and cake were enjoyed by all!
I was spoiled by all of my kids calling and Marco Polo videos and calls from France!
Birdie got her fingers blue as she reached out to touch the interesting cake. She didn't lick them but it is right around the corner!
At least there weren't 69 candles to blow out!
My sweet Johnnie and his precious gifts - Jude and Birdie Barbara, my namesake and sweet as sugar!
We shared their family prayer - we prayed one of the sorrowful mysteries for today - The Crucifixion- together! Then we shared petitions together. John prayed over me and expressed how much my love for Our Lady touches him - how we share that HUGE love for her!
Today is a Big Mary Feast - Our Lady of the Rosary!
I know that John is very much into this today, too! LOVE him so much and how Mary and Jesus answered his half-hearted prayer for Faith in such a REAL and True way!
I love these words to us today from Pope Francis concerning the rosary in the Magnificat today!
Pope Francis calls the rosary a "simple contemplative prayer, accessible to all, great and small, the educated and those with little education. In the rosary we turn to the Virgin Mary so that she may guide us to an ever closer union with her Son Jesus to bring us into conformity with him, to have his sentiments and to behave like him. Indeed, in the Rosary while we repeat the Hail Mary we meditate on the Mysteries, on the events of Christ's life, so as to know and love Him ever better. The Rosary is an effective means of opening ourselves to God." Each time we pray the Rosary, he said, "we are taking a step forward, towards the great destination of Life" - heaven .
Such a sweet namesake is my Birdie Barbara, who is going to be 5 months old in a few days! She was very interested in the cake and ice cream last night. "That looks good!"
Spoiled by husband and son, and calls and visits by all my children! I am very spoiled and I feel very loved in spite of my shortcomings! They truly live out returning the love and mercy they have been given by Jesus and Mary... to me! Bless-bless, Barbara
The chickens are afraid to roost in the chicken house for the night for some reason - they roosted on my porch and in my garage overnight. Sigh!

As many saints have told us, the surest and easiest way to heaven is through our wonderful Blessed Mother.
To Jesus through Mary.
We return to the Rosary often around here. The Rosary has been a frequent topic on the podcast and we continue to create materials that make the rosary accessible for children, exciting for adults, AND powerful no matter who is holding the beads!
Mary begs us to pray the Rosary every day, and if you do your life will be changed
Our Lady of the Rosary
Feast Day: October 7
"If you say the Rosary faithfully until death, I do assure you that, in spite of the gravity of your sins 'you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.' Even if you are on the brink of damnation, even if you have one foot in hell, even if you have sold your soul to the devil as sorcerers do who practice black magic, and even if you are a heretic as obstinate as a devil, sooner or later you will be converted and will amend your life and will save your soul, if-- and mark well what I say-- if you say the Holy Rosary devoutly every day until death for the purpose of knowing the truth and obtaining contrition and pardon for your sins." -St. Louis de Montfort from The Secret of the Rosary
Danielle Rose - Mary songs and she wrote a song for very mystery of the Rosary! LOVE!
