My heart burning with love at mass!!!/"on this Mountain-The Church"- always worship within!

Sweet 5 month old Birdie is a magnet for her older cousins after mass this morning!  She was the best baby through mass and when I pulled my mask down and smiled at her - she reached for me with big smiles and loved to play with my pearls!
I fall so deeply in love with my handsome farmer Most Cherished Cross husband of 42 years at mass each Sunday... more than not of those 2,016 masses and more now that we are 3 months into our 43rd year... Pat has had his arms full of our babies and now our grandbabies!  How he loves ALL LIFE and is my champion of Family and LIFE!  The motto of our family and now extended family is "Open to LIFE and Raising LIGHTS!"

Ruth and Paul and their 6 in the front row this morning.  The farmers are very tired with harvest, but there is no way that they will miss attending mass to receive Jesus in Body, Blood and The Word!

5 years ago while Pat's mother was on hospice for close to 2 years... every Sunday we would bring her The Eucharist, share Jesus in The Word, and bring along kids and grandkids for her to spend some time with!  Very cherished memories and powerful in being able to share our Faith with her each week!

David in line to hold our newest member of the family - sweet and good Birdie Barbara!
Rose again looked a lot like Birdie when she was a baby!
John brings Jesus to my father, who watches mass on EWTN.  How quickly things have changed in the last year.  When I would stay with them at their Assisted living in New Hope, dad and I would go to Sacred Heart in Robbinsdale and he would wear a pix around his neck and sweetly bring Jesus to mother, who was no longer able to make the effort of getting out to mass...

A random cute picture of Rose when she was 2 or so...
John and Bobbi visiting my parents in their short stay at Assisted living - only were there for 8 months.
Dad sharing the readings with mother one Sunday during Advent in their Assisted living...
Dad giving her The Eucharist - now we bring Jesus to him.

Fr Denny is coming this week to give my father the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Anointing of the sick - we are so very much blessed in The Church to have so much to assist us on this journey as we stagger down the narrow path carrying/dragging our Most Cherished Cross and following Jesus!
Such a cherished gift to have of mom - taken just 2 weeks before she died in a day after falling and breaking her hip!  Her heavenly glow and sweet smile casting LIGHT in our world of prayer!

John's year in seminary still blesses us with his ministry to the elderly and the sick!  How he takes very seriously his sharing Jesus as an Eucharistic minister and Lector - reading the Sunday mass readings!  His finding His faith through brain cancer is deep and REAL and he is the new John!

My father has been a permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church for 44 years!  He brought the 13 of us into The Church 49 years ago after being a Protestant Minister for 20 years!  So powerful and add to that my husbands prayers for me after he told his sisters that he would only marry a Catholic!  I am overwhelmed by it all!
Birdie here to share supper with grandma and great-grandpa last night!  She was smiling and cooing at me, but then that phone camera made her stop!
My delightful namesake!
My Deacon father and my son praying the office with me last evening!
My mother and her beautiful icons gift us with such a powerful presence of heavenly graces as we pray together!  John's year in the seminary taught him a beautiful singing prayer that he can share with my father!  My JOY!
Dad uses a flashlight to help see the words in his old well worn prayer book!  44 years of morning and evening prayers!  He has allowed me to share in his Religious LIFE!  One of my sister in laws call this a "farm monastery."  So true!

John and Bobbi's leaf bags - Bobbi and Birdie have green bows! The wind today has filled their yard with twice as many!
Small breakfast with just the little family after mass... that button nose is definitely that of a Verly girl!
You have egg on your nose, Jude!
Now there is a plate on your head, and Birdie is thinking that it is very handsome and she can't wait to join you soon!  She very much likes your pink bib!

Much from the first reading today speaks of "on this Mountain" from Isaiah 25... definitely The Church!  The place where we eat the best food, and death is destroyed forever!  Jesus is always there in the tabernacle of every Catholic Church!

I love what Pope Benedict writes...
During the day our churches should not be allowed to be dead houses, standing empty and seemingly useless.   Jesus Christ's invitation is always being proffered from them.  This sacred proximity to us is always alive in them.  It is always calling us and inviting us in.  This is what is lovely about Catholic Churches, that within them there is, as it were, always worship, because the Eucharist presence of the Lord dwells always within them.
My eggs for today - I had to coop up my chickens as they started to use my porch for their roost at night!
They miss getting outside, but they lost their freedom when they overstepped their boundaries.

The white ones pleading to get out... sorry!

Lord, the LOVE is so real and powerful as we share mass together as a family!  To watch my husband holding the little ones gives me a deep joy!  LIFE is a gift to be protected and cherished from conception to natural death!  May we elect those that will fight to protect LIFE!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah

Our Domestic Church/family is now 31 with my father here!  LIFE is a gift!  Bless-bless, Barbara
