I admit after 4 days together the times can have some arguing and is not all peaches and cream. But they get past it and today with the rain it looks like grandma will have quiet on beds with book time after lunch/leading to nap time, and later watercolor time with grandma on a rainy day.
Except for the hair color these two have the same beautiful faces! Joy will now be a big sister in November and Ruth gets to reenter the baby phase with nursing and diapers. The Lord had that in his plan for her and Paul - #7!
My two red heads - Ruth's Joy and Maria's Romeo! When you have 20 I guess you cover it all, and we love them all no matter what!
The Gospel today made me smile in this crazy family farm time we are in the midst of - Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin?
Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge.
Even all the hairs of your head are counted.
So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10
I just had brushed and fixed two girl's hair - 5 and 4 year olds... One of my favorite things to do with my granddaughters as I had 4 girls in a row and then "you had that boy." So recently to have that long and thick hair in my hands - counting every hair is quite descriptive of how much the Lord knows about us and cares about us!
John and Jude came to share supper on the porch last night - pasta night!
Bobbi had the 4 older girls over to bake and have supper at her house - a girls' night and baby Birdie had a special drink with the girls! So fun!
A special toast to share their special experience with their Aunt Bobbi!
Grandma has her mind set on getting the groups together! The little girls - Joy has hers too!
Uncle Paul getting the cousins to help with washing the fair calves this morning.
Grandpa talks about the cousins coming and having 4H projects here for the summer. We had nephew, Sam Cross, do that years ago. His cow-calf pair beat John's!
The 3 little boys each 3 weeks apart will be patriotic this year.. George seems to approve.
I just turned 6 pounds of hamburger into Bar-B-Que for lunch. I can practically make it in my sleep as I had it for both John and Susan's graduation reception! My peaceful hour here making it will soon evaporate like the rain. We had a small amount this morning, and thank the Lord for every last drop! Bless-bless, Barb
