Never too many Joys!/Mary shows us how to do the will of the Father/50 years still hearing God's call!!!

Joy holding the kitten that is to replace my cat that died over the winter.  I am needing to get my place ready for a kitten and so I am waiting a few days to bring him here.
Joy calls him Snowball and the older ones have named him Buckingham.  I think I will see who is the saint of the day that I bring him to live here, and possibly give that to him.
I have a new daily words of wisdom book - Fulton Sheen's words... today's made me smile as I just had taken too many pictures of Joy and my kitten with her smiles and snuggles, hug for grandma, and talk about getting him a kitty toy at Runnings.  "You can never tire of Joys!"
As mom, Ruth is known to say - "She is our Joy."
It means just that - she is so loving and kind and sweet and has been mom's right hand baker and gardener.  Next year she will go to preschool and shortly after that in mid November they will welcome her new little brother - #7 for Ruth and Paul!
It will be a good thing for Joy to be a big sister.  Siblings are so much more important and wonderful than things!  There is no comparison!

I think you can see where I am going with "never too many Joys!"

Ruth at work on her 4H booth with the help of the kids.  Her sweet baby belly is so pretty and sweet and a masterpiece of LIFE!
What JOY to find this in dad's prayer book of Morning prayer of The Church!  The verse that dad read at the Ignatian Retreat 50 years ago that told him to come into The Church with mom and us 11 kids!  Very Eucharistic right dad?  Yes!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!

The Gospel today is that hard one where Jesus's mother wants to see him, but he seems to be less than welcoming by saying;

“Who is my mother?  Who are my brothers?”
And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said,
“Here are my mother and my brothers.
For whoever does the will of my heavenly Father
is my brother, and sister, and mother.”  Matthew 12

Sr Ida in the meditation speaks to this - "Jesus is not putting Mary down, but rather explaining that physical union is not necessary, union of spirit is essential"

Her last paragraph about the beauty of the rosary in tight situations, etc.  I recall Ruth calling my mother in the last hours of her life - "Grandma turn to Mary and recall the countless times you have asked her to be with you at the 'hour of your death." She left a few hours later on the peace and comfort of her many prayers answered!

I am just back from an unexpected trip for 3 hours to Watertown, SD and back for a part of the baler... those beads and rosary prayer in my peaceful chapel on wheels was filled with petitions for my family - on each decade I pray for Ruth #1, Nancy#2, Maria#3, Hallel #4, John #5, and added one for Pat, Godchildren, my family, Pat's family and my beloved Church!  10 decades and the peace and Joy fill my time!  Even with Christian music here and there...

The family only missing Hallel 3 years ago at John and Bobbi's wedding - we have added 5 with 2 still to join us in a few months!
A scene that we are seeing again now for the fair in a few weeks - walking the pigs 7 years ago.  The excitement is building to have the fair after a year without due to the pandemic!
LOVE this and Mary is with me always.  How I need to have her with me and find such comfort in her embrace of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
"Wounded, I will never cease to love."  Motto of Hallel's Community of the Lamb.  So hard to do, but Mary and The Lamb slain for our salvation shows us how.
Yes, I testify to this as Truth!  I was to have high blood pressure as I aged due to having toxemia with my pregnancies.  I feel that the rosary as my constant companion has kept this at bay.  Calm and peace within from my inner temple filled with her prayer - The Rosary!
How I need to take this to heart.  The log in my own eye!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara
“It would seem impossible, did we not know it to be true,
that God could abide with us always, in littleness
and humility even more extreme than infancy.
…Yet this is so.  Every day, every hour,
Christ is born on the altar in the hands of the priest.

Christ is lifted up and sacrificed; Christ is buried in the tomb
of the human heart and Christ rises from the tomb
to be the life of the world through His Communion with men. …

This is the Host-life. …In the Host He is our Life on earth today. ...
The Host-life is not something new or different from the Christ-life
that we know already.  It is the very core of it … the life which
Christ Himself is living in the world now.  It is His choice of how
to live His life among us today. … It alone can restore humanity
to happiness … one thing only … supernatural life, beginning
secretly in each individual heart; just as Incarnate Love
began secretly on earth in the heart of Mary.  It is one thing only,
the birth of the Infant Christ in us, Incarnate Love. …

Carry Christ everywhere in your hearts.
Make your souls monstrances, and go into places
where Our Lord has never been adored in the Host,
where the monstrance has never been lifted up.”
