The grain bin pictures are cherished over the years and this will join the others and make me smile for years to come!John and Bobbi engagement pictures spring of 2018. Yes, black and white is part of the beauty and specialness of pictures by the grain bins! The boys too in Black and white at the push of a button now - I used to have 2 cameras one with color film and one with black and white to capture both. I personally kept Shopko in business with my thousands of pictures!
12 years ago - baby Therese and David with Mary. We say that Therese looks like the little girl from Les Miserables!
Therese is now 13 and David will be 13 in a week!
Now in color...
John and Bobbi and lilacs 3 years ago. Lilacs are also part of the pictures - most especially the engagement pictures I have taken of the 4 married kids.
7 years ago - a classic with Ruth and Nancy's kids, lilacs, the two 2 year old girls dressed alike, and cows in the pasture by the grain bins! Uncle Paul is making them laugh out loud - so amazing to have and cherish!
Two best friends/cousins - Rose and Bernadette with matching dresses and lilacs 7 years ago by the grain bins!
Water coloring together a couple days ago - both painting my grandmother's tea pot on her birthday.Therese is now 13 and David will be 13 in a week!

Rose put a rainbow behind her tea pot, and Berna put a purple spout and handle.
Cousins that are growing up together just 6 months apart. Patrick, Bernadette, and Rose Again are good friends and are so grateful to have a week together on the farm. I hardly saw them as they stayed over at Ruth and Paul's at for sleeping at night and busy playing and helping on the farm during the day. I would say that they Patrick and Berna became Lanoues for the week.
Patrick's amazing story of being born dead and brought back to life! Mighty deed indeed!
The matching boys were not afraid of the bottle calves and they all were friendly towards these 3 matching boys - one with socks on and no shoes and the other two bare foot!
I am missing my parents sorely today and looked back knowing that we were in the midst of preparation for my mother's funeral mass planned for the day after her birthday - July 18th, 2020.... 4 months after she had died in a day after falling breaking her hip at 7:30a and dead by 5P! Due to Covid we had a burial service at the frigid cemetery including an open casket to bid our farewells. Able to have her official send off with my father coming from 4 hours away was a huge undertaking and definitely a mighty deed accomplished!
Out to pick wild flowers with these two, who are just a month less than a year apart."She is our JOY." says her mom, and so she is for her loving and happy ways!We had a cool week for our family time, and that is much appreciated! Thank you, Lord, and now please bring the rains that are so badly need for our crops! There have been million dollar rains over the years of my being a farm wife and we ask for those this year.
A picture of LIFE and craziness with so much going on here. Maggie is feeling softness on her foot like nothing she has ever experienced before! Birdie is playing with JoJo's hair!
Getting our family together certainly qualifies as mighty deeds accomplished as we traveled long and hard to get them here, made huge meals and cleaned up huge meals feeding close to 30 three times a day, kept kids clean and safe, kept peace and joy always in our hearts, minds and souls with frequent prayer and rest, shared our farm life with family, stayed healthy thanks to good food, rest, and the good Lord looking out for us as we were together in such a powerful way. Yes, there were many prayers for safety and healthy that were answered - thank you, Lord!
Goat farmer Mary sharing her love for goats with the girls.
And always we find our greatest JOY and share in our most powerful Mighty Deeds when we share our Faith as a family! Each night we would gather for prayer before bed, and Evangeline Mary would pray to her patron Saint- St John Paul II! Pray for us!
Michigan memories are also all around me this time of year! Gus in the wonderful sugar sand from years ago!
John ready to give his witness talk of finding Faith through brain cancer at the Springfield music festival years back! Another MIGHTY DEED that we celebrate each day we have with the new John!
10 years ago on the Big Lake Michigan with my 3 oldest - each of them have "Mighty Deeds" that the Lord has done in their lives as they die to self and allow Jesus to work in their lives, marriages, and domestic Church/families!
Dad's prayer book this morning! So much love for Jesus and His Bride, The Church! How I loved to share that with him and so it continues to this day! His prayer books left behind for me!
He was a man, who would memorize special prayers and share those with me! We prayed each day at 3P the rosary and chaplet on the porch and watch the trucks go by on Hwy 59! "Look at that white one! There goes another one!" Finding JOY in the small things we shared here in our farm monastery. He got to see my entire family - even Hallel had her home visit almost a year ago now and spent time with her grandfather for the first time in 12 years! "Mighty deeds" for sure!
Jesus, I am yours and thank you for allowing us to be overwhelmed by a huge time of family coming together! May we carry that love and Joy and now peace forth into our daily lives of loving and serving you without counting the cost - as we serve one another. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Evangeline and the 3 boys! How she reminds me of her mom! In looks and attitude, too! It is so special to me to reclaim those memories. Bless-bless, BarbaraDanielle Rose
