Hubby holding our youngest grandchild, Regina Maria, at the graduation reception for our niece, Sara Cross. She is my brother's daughter and they live just a couple hours away so the Verly bunch of 21 attended from south and north.
It took 2 pictures to capture how much we are blessed with sharing our Faith as a family each week - 15 of us! Joy was as close to the red worn by the priest and deacon as well as the viel in front of the tabernacle. Come Holy Spirit!
Such a sweet boy - Thomas Robert is 6 1/2 months and so happy and content!
Very special words about Mary on this most special feast/Memorial today!
"Behold your Mother." Jesus on the Cross. In entrusting his Mother Mary to the Beloved Disciple, our Lord concerned for much more than her practical living arrangements: He establishes a relationship between his Holy Mother and all who are united to him, that is, The Church. We, too, behold our Mother, for she is the Mother of all who live the life of Grace. We turn to here especially when we experience the Cross , knowing she is "standing by..."
It was so appropriate and amazing to discover a very special Mary Feast today that ties into The Church's beginning with Pentecost - The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of The Church! Yes, So true and how I love to have her being my Spiritual Mother - Mary is Mother of the Church, and all the special graces she has received - freedom from stain of sin, intimacy with Christ, and bodily assumption into heaven - are foretastes and promises of what God intends for all those sancitfied by Christ to be part of his body...
Visiting Mary's meat kids...
Red bottle calf sucking on her fingers.
Up checking out the quadtrack tractor, which is parked from digging the fields ahead of the planter. The crop is now planted - we are grateful for the rain, but now am praying for heat units to allow the crop to catch up in this month late planting this year.
Carol getting to know Thomas and baby kitten. She has not met our 3 youngest grandchildren at least due to covid and CCC being much smaller this year.
Ruth made us a wonderful farm lunch on her beautiful porch. How I love this view of our fields and pastures!
I was blessed with a chance to see 2 sisters and 2 brothers yesterday along with 2 daughters and a daughter in law with 15 of my grandkids gathered to celebrate my niece, Sara Cross!
Carol with my 2 youngest grandchildren... Both she had met for the first time in the last few days.
Due to the covid still scaring people at Christmas - we missed seeing a lot of my family, so this was a special gift to see them 6 months later.
Jude, Birdie and George were super cute playing together - with lots of hugs and suckers to add to the antics - sugar fun!
Too many pictures of these three interacting with bare feet! There was a wonderful playground close by where they spent a lot of time, too.
Melts my heart! Nursing shawl over her head to keep her warm - and ahold of grandpa Pat's gigantic thumb - she looks amazed!
Carol took the shirt off her back to give to graduate, Sara! It was my dad's shirt and Sara had a very close relationship with my dad! She and dad played many card games over the years! Sara in my dad's shirt and a picture of her with grandpa at Social time at Lake Michigan..."I loved that special time with grandpa and grandma at the cabin."
We all have fond memories of "Social time" each day.
Special swings at the park.
No more pushing - just swinging together!
Holding hands - the 3 littles!
Best buddies - Rose and Bernadette
Come Holy Spirit bring Peace and healing to our Family and our Church!
My best hour of the week spent on the first hour of Monday! Jesus and Mary, Lord and Lady, we love and thank you with our ALL! Bless-bless, Barbara and the 51 - 34 with us and 17 in heaven including our parents!
