October memories and fake plans/The Good Samaritan Gospel

Joy 2 years ago on my mother-in-law's birthday - 101 in heaven.  Yesterday we recalled that it would have been her 103rd!  WE love you mom.

October 2020 - the final month that my dad was alive and living with me here on the farm.  I had no idea that he only had 3 more weeks to live.  He was sharp to the end, and we prayed together the day before he peacefully passed in the morning of October 23rd while Pat and I prayed with him.  A perfect natural death at 95 years.

Ruth visiting my dad on this day 2 years ago.  Dad lived here to witness an entire growing season on the farm!  His prophecy that he would come and live with me came to be when mom died in a day after falling and breaking her hip first thing in the morning.  Thanks to Covid - dad had no where to go after a procedure.  I was so blessed to share in his religious life of prayer morning and evening and rosary and chaplet on my porch each day at 3p.

John bringing Eucharist to my dad.  My dad brought all 13 of our family into The Church 50 years ago!  A story that I never get tired of sharing and my greatest JOY!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!

Dad took a trip around to see our farmers in action 2 years ago.  He was very impressed to see 12 year old David raking the corn stalks ahead of his dad in the baler.  So many prayers for safety at this crazy time of year!  Lord and Lady hear our prayers.  I had a near miss as I was getting on the highway this morning as a car came out of a blind spot!  My guardian angel came immediately to mind and I thanked her!  Now I am placing each of our farmer's guardian angels to be on guard to protect them from harm!
100 quarts of apple pie filling 2 years ago today - on Saturday we did 72 quarts with many more on the tree.  The problem is that we are out of quart jars - but maybe freeze!?
Birdie with apples 2 years ago.  Dad got to watch her grow from birth to 5 months while he lived with me.
Should be done with beans today and then start putting the corn in the grain bins.

Dad's handwriting with great amazing Quotes from St Therese!  LOVE to follow his lead as he teaches me from his prayer book left behind for me!
John gave me this special prayer to St Barbara - it will go with me to Kansas City this weekend with Hallel and the Little Sisters and Little Brothers.  Unexpected weekend with my nun is very exciting  - a retreat for her old mom, who considered being a nun - rather called to marriage with the gift of being a nun for weekends from time to time. Thank you, Lord and Lady!
Special sunrise with fall bouquet of soy beans and corn along with my 44th wedding anniversary bouquet now dried made by Paul and Mary!
The Cottonwood tree is starting to turn golden too!
Also John's gift - a heart shaped paver with the names of ALL my children here and in heaven = 12!
5 here and 7 in heaven.  Also 6 grandchildren to meet someday - they keep our eyes on heaven as we stagger down the narrow path dragging our Most Cherished Cross!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"
John's parting words after we prayed together in the middle of the night.  "Imagine how things might have turned out if you did not love the rosary the way that you do!"

John is now 13 years cancer free with wife and children!
His Spirit Juice video tells it all!!! And the story continues...  Bless-bless, Barbara and 34

John's growing family - wife, Bobbi, with Birdie and Jude!  I am off to work in the Birthright office tonight.  LIFE is to protected and cherished from conception to natural death!
