Pentecost - Come with your LOVE and TRUTH, Holy Spirit!

Mary and Simon watching the gate last night out in the pasture - appear to be calling down the Holy Spirit from above... maybe they were saying a prayer in their hearts for assistance as they kept the cows in the pasture.   The cows came in a load ahead of their calves, so they were frantically looking for them, and we had to turn them back numerous times.  With a prayer in our hearts we face all the ups and downs of life - and the Holy Spirit is there to answer and bring us to a place of peace and wisdom.
With excitement and joy we are off to mass to welcome the FIRE and the WELLSPRING of eternal water that gives us our ferver and our ever flowing sactifying Grace - Christ in us through the HOLY SPIRIT!  Jesus, we trust in you!  Bless-bless, Barb the Humble and Fervent

Lilly is just the right height for little Dave to find rest and comfort and the dog seems to love the attention and loving arms over her back!   WE have that same feeling of peace and comfort from the Spirit of God and his Son, Jesus Christ that dwells in our innermost places... our hearts and souls!  As Father said at mass today... the fact that we are aware of Christ at our sides throughout all the ups and downs of life brings us peace in the midst of suffering and loss.
Pat, I and John are in a state of concern/worry and deep asking of the Holy Spirit to give us the words to say in the talks that we are to give in two weeks at the TEC retreat that Pat and I are directing and John is giving a talk at.   John called us on the way home from Church with a dilemma as to how to give his talk and share what he wants to share about mostly his cancer journey.  How powerful to remember the powerful experiences of prayer and humility that were a part of that year and beyond!

Mary looks to be directing the cows in a musical number... waving her arms to keep them away from the gate as they look for their calves.  The talk that I am working on is called - God, A Community of Love - it addresses how we are called to join into the Community/Family of LOVE in the Trinity!  Very powerful stuff to think about for me... when asked to reflect on those times in my life when "speaking about the Holy Spirit describe times when you have been inspired, given direction or strength."  HUGE for me is when I asked Pat if we were being foolish to be open to a large family at our engagement weekend... His immediate and Spirit led answer..."The world needs Lights!"  That set the stage for our entire marriage and into now the marriages of our 3 daughters as well as Hallel/Susan having the freedom and blessings to go forth and embrace her life with Christ as a religious!  That simple TRUTH immediately took away any fears and... "Peace be with you.  As the Father has sent me, so I send you." And when he said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit..."  John 20:19-23 The Gospel for today!

"My arms are tired, grandma, you take over please!"  Good job, Mary... to face those big animals takes some courage and wisdom that comes with always having cows in your life... you are a lucky and hardworking farmgirl and willing to help out the part of the job that you can do at 5 years old!

Brother Dave has to smile and say hi as they go through the fence... a little ray of sunshine!  Thank you, Holy Spirit for all the blessings and times that we can share and support one with the other, and accomplish the work of caring for the earth and the animals that we are in charge of.  It is a wonderful sight when they are peacefully with their calves out on the grass of the large pastures.  This is when they are happy and at peace and and so are the farmers/ranchers that have gotten them born and cared for to this point.

The calves have arrived!  I must go with the Holy Spirit to guide and direct me and fill me with the peace and joy and love that I need to make the best of my day and to see my Domestic Church - my family - as a small slice of heaven here on earth.  Lord, hear our prayers!  Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we trust in you!  Amen and Halleluia!

Bless-bless, Barb the humble and fervent... Mary is turning into more a photo taker than myself - gearing up for her years of 4H..

Veni, Sancte Spiritus,

Amen, Alleluia. Come, Holy Spirit,
send forth the heavenly
radiance of your light.

Come, father of the poor,
come giver of gifts,
come, light of the heart.

Greatest comforter,
sweet guest of the soul,
sweet consolation.

In labor, rest,
in heat, temperance,
in tears, solace.

O most blessed light,
fill the inmost heart
of your faithful.

Without your divine will,
there is nothing in man,
nothing is harmless.

Wash that which is unclean,
water that which is dry,
heal that which is wounded.
Bend that which is inflexible,
warm that which is chilled, make right that which is wrong.

Give to your faithful,
who rely on you,
the sevenfold gifts.

Give reward to virtue,
give salvation at our passing on,
give eternal joy. Amen. Alleluia.
