A year of its own - Michigan 2015 is coming to an end

Sharing a book in the cabin...  We are wrapping up our time here, and I am feeling sad about saying goodbye to one of my favorites place in the world for these 10 days.  Why?  The attachment runs deep due to my growing up here with my family over the summers we lived in Michigan - we moved to MN  in the summer after I graduated HS.  Yes, I have spent now 37 years on the farm and it has been a blessing beyond measure to me, and a wonderful place to raise our family.  My heart is with my Most Cherished Cross and he is planted - a farmer which makes me a farmer's wife and continuing to learn with each new day.  Never a dull moment!

A final stop at the Grotto with the girls to thank Our Lady for her gentle loving care of us this time here, and now for safe travels on our trip home.  We know her prayers are assisting us - taking us to her Son!
A daisy of appreciation and love close to her Immaculate heart filled with humble pure love for her Son and His Bride, The Church.
A most special place to visit and find comfort each year.  My mother shared that Our Lady told her to build this and she then asked Fr Glen, and eventually it happened.  So special to have this place to spend time in prayer and find HOPE and Peace!
Each flower represents the three of us there to thank her and be reminded of her intercession in all that we face in life.  I am reading This Tremendous Lover, and am reminded that after the fall and Jesus dying to bring us back to know God... He has become Mercy to us out of his tremendous LOVE!  May we always turn to him and ask forgiveness for our sins.
Mary reading the Memorare which is on the stone under her feet to Rose and I.

So amazing and to hear Mary read this prayer so beautiful!
 Sharing a "Hail Mary" together.
A selfie with Our Spiritual Mother, who cares for us.
Those daisies grow everywhere up here!
Goodbye til next year whatever that will look like... each year is its own and so unique in many ways.
A calm day at the public beach.  Jesus, we thank you for this time and now for safe travels and may we walk with you always in our busy lives back home.  Bless-bless, Barb
 Simon
We still have some sand in front of the cabin this summer.
And some in the water too, and we were able to swim more this year as the water was better in temp.
The kids playing that they are floating to Chicago or Milwaukee with shovels to fight off the sharks.
The Big Lake is special to us!
