St Kateri knew Jesus intimately through their shared suffering... we do too!

Three years ago we went to Kansas City to be part of the beautiful celebration of 3 American girls taking their habits!  Holly took the name of Little Sister Kateri, and that is bringing them so powerfully into our morning prayer and celebration of this feast of St Kateri today.
8 year old granddaughter, Mary, watching the 3 get the different pieces of their habits along with what they represent in English!  This was so reminiscent of our time in France for Hallel's taking of the habit, but to have it all in English was such a blessing for us and for the many there present.
They return transformed into Little Sisters!

How has St Kateri influenced our prayers this day?  "Lord, may many young women and men here in he U.S. hear and answer your call to enter this wonderful Community of the Lamb.  May houses spring up across our country and may Hallel return to lead and direct them in this amazing LIFE of giving without counting the cost.  Living their motto - Wounded, I will not cease to love."  A mother can get a bit selfish in her prayers, right?  I was longing for my Hallel this day of remembrance so the thought of her being in driving distance just made me burst into my tears in mid prayer!
Sharing the Eucharist after their habiting!
I had to include this as John and I were talking about him protecting his head from the sun, and he responded that he covers his bald head - now due to the whole brain radiation is bald - with a hat.  This was borrowed from one of the Little Brothers this hot May day in the sun.
The three new American Little Sisters!  They have now been living the LIFE in France for 1 year, and Hallel reports that Kateri caught onto English quicker than the others.  Little Sister Kateri/formerly Holly is on the far right.

A very special celebration is being shared with this special girl, Acacia.  St Kateri, Lily of the Mohawks, is her favorite Saint, and she is sweetly sharing her devotion with us!  Thank you, and please know that there is a Little Sister Kateri you can meet someday, who is carrying forth this great Saint's name and beautiful message... Delivered from a life of great pain for a life of deep, personal love for Jesus Christ, Saint Kateri sang the new hymn of those whose lives are shaped by the saving sign of the Cross.  see www.magnificat.com

"Who will teach me what is most pleasing to God, that I may do it?"  St Kateri Tekawitha
The JOY welling up from their hearts, souls, and minds as they have said "yes" to the call of Our Lord for them to become his spouses!  How this speaks to the world that this is a wonderful LIFE to be considered!
John in his French beret is leading the procession of celebration we so love from The Community of the Lamb!  We now incorporate it into our family celebrations, too!

Jesus, with your Saints and your Mother at your feet and side in Heaven forever... how we long to join you there when we are called from this earth.  We are filled with so much recognition of your help in all the marvelous Saints we have been given to be our friends, and to help us on our journey.  This precious girl, St Kateri, is such a model for us in embracing our Cross and suffering... as it allows us to share what is most important with YOU, O Jesus!  When we die to self we allow YOU to live in us, and for your Holy Spirit to come and fill us with all the fruits of The Spirit! " But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,"  Galatians 5:22  Where we find other than this - may we humbly ask for forgiveness, and allow healing to take place.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah

The foundress of the Community of the Lamb - Little Sister Marie - speaks with Mary and Little Sister Benedict a year ago.  It is so wonderful when young girls have Faith shared with them in their homes and they see the beauty of a LIFE given totally to Our Lord!  Mary has already shared that Jesus could be calling her to be a Little Sister!  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
It was so wonderful to share this most special occasion with my friend, Andrea, and her daughter along with John and Mary!
John is very excited to be heading to Kansas City a week from today with Fr Craig for some time with The Community!  I will be praying so hard that Jesus will show him the path he has laid out for him!
Mary's 1st grade picture of herself... she thinking and praying about it at a young age for sure!

Konoronkwa - LOVE!

She understands suffering and our personal crosses - who better to ask for intercession and help on our journey?  I add her with St Rita for impossible cases...
Danielle Rose - Pursue me, Lord
The Saint that is just me - we are all called to be Saints!
My little Kateri this day - Rose with braids for Mary's 4H photo shoot in Michigan!
I now will be sharing Ruth's beautiful pictures!  See her blog post for more...
