High Holy Day for Hallel and The Community of the Lamb!!! St Dominic, pray for us.

My thirst for a picture of Maria and her growing 4 is quenched today with this one from their trip to the zoo.  From their flushed faces... it looks to be a hot humid day.  They are most of them in the shade from hats and stroller.

Patrick will soon be 3 in early October and loves the trolley at the zoo.  So good to see his excited and happy brown eyes again!
St Dominic receiving the beads of prayer/the Rosary from Mary Mother of Heaven and earth!

This is so true for me in my life of prayer leading into service of my domestic Church/family!
Precious time with Hallel at the Easter vigil, which lasted all night!  A once in a lifetime experience for 10 year old grandson, Simon!  Sharing with someone as we worked together at the fair that we have a daughter, who is a nun...  "It must be so wonderful for you to have someone living out their faith like that.  Living their faith with their entire lives!"  she commented.  Yes!  She gets it!

The feast of St Dominic marks this day, and we know that there was an overnight vigil to prepare the way for this day of huge celebration/high Holy Day for the Community of the Lamb and our Little Sister Hallel as they spring from Dominican roots!
Meals shared with The Community are special and filled with much sharing of deep matters of the heart/our faith and journey!

The first reading from Deuteronomy today speaks of what we witness and adore about our family we now have in The Community of the Lamb!  You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength.  Deut 6:4  When you separate from the world and all its' distractions and devote your days to contemplative prayer which includes mass and adoration as well as prayer throughout the day... You do not have TV, radio, internet... all the things that pull us away from concentrating on The Lord with all our heart, soul and strength!  It is out-of-this-world literally!   It is a place where we can listen to Jesus speaking his LOVE/LIGHT/LIFE into our hearts!
Mary loves to get into her blue apron...
and help with the dishes.  As Hallel says there is prayer and dishes in her days.
Mary at Easter in Kansas City!
There is so much JOY shared with our family of the Lamb!  Rose's shoe is on Benedict's toe!
One and a half year old Luke visiting the Community for the first time, and helping in the kitchen, too!

I love you, O Lord, my strength.  Psalm 18 from mass today.  When we feel small and insignificant and like our sharing of our LIGHT and Truth makes little to no difference in this world of darkness... we need to recall all that our Lord has done for us in our lives and that he is here in our world healing and touching and casting out - Jesus rebuked him and the demon came out of him, and from that hour the boy was cured.  Matthew 17  Jesus is alive and well in this world and we are his hands and feet!
A most special part of Simon's life is this special place and group of our Family of the Lamb!
There is not much doubt that Mary will spend some time here discerning a possible call when she is older.  Such a wonderful option to consider and listen to Jesus' call to her and his plan for her life alone!
Soaking in the humble beauty, Peace, and LIGHT of Jesus!
Pondering the empty tomb surrounded by candles and flowers of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!  The chapel in Kansas City is named Lumen Christi/LIGHT of Christ.
The LIGHT house on the hill!  In the midst of a poor neighborhood... it has been shared that it has banished the fear that many had - "I used to carry a knife to feel safe, but the LIGHThouse on the hill has given me peace."
Little grandson, Dominic, greets the icon in their chapel of St Dominic!  Happy feast day little precious Dominic!

Jesus, we thank and praise you for keeping us rooted in Faith through the prayers and lives of our family/Community of the Lamb!   May our faith become the size of a mustard seed and take root and spread your LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT always in our lives - most especially in our domestic Church/family.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
The bells and smiles of JOY, the LIGHT of Jesus, and the gift of LOVE and LIFE!  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
The Cross has become the Tree of LIFE!
Embrace the Cross and find LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
 Adoring Jesus!
The ice cream scoop that we gave them years back from Pat's childhood!
So blessed to have them for family!
A real hug was so needed and cherished!
