What is easy to bring and would be fun for grandkids and grandma's pictures? Sunglasses!!!
We spent a big piece of the day at a wonderful pool on base, and with the 95 degree humid day - it was a great time. They would have all the kids get out so that the adults could swim...
So grandma got some sunglass pictures by the pool.
Mary and Therese had so much fun together, and I said many times to Pat that it was good that we brought Ruth's 3 oldest... they are mixing and playing together so well!
One of the best!
A silly one with fingers in nose and many glasses askew! It was a great day keeping cool and having fun! Tomorrow I get to go to MCCW meeting with President Maria til noon and then we head to the Ocean for a day and a half before the big push home. A very memorable trip!
The two Daves look like synchronized swimmers, and grandpa was very impressed by how far they have come being comfortable in the water and swimming!
Patrick playing with a shark in the shallow...
Swim and swim and swim and swim!
This is over Maria's bed that we are sleeping in here. Maria put this by the crucifix in her brother's room before she left to join the Poor Clares for 5 months in 2004... John was 15 years old then. John certainly discovered the cross and found his Faith in 2009 from brain cancer!
I am learning while sitting in Maria's homeschool room - a place where the Truth of our Faith is shared in such a special way! Bless-bless, Barb
The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world. WE continue to share and depend on the support of our prayer warrior community, that has lowered us into the Lord's presence for His healing!
