Sharing the Truth?

Cute Luke and a kitten here for a visit are having fun together playing this morning while grandma tries to gather her thoughts.  I must admit they are fleeting and distracted this morning... see why?

St Paul's reminder in I Timothy 4 today about how we are to "attend to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in both tasks, for by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you."  I do that this so seriously in my life, and it is my prayer that it is true in that I share The Truth!   How do I attend to myself in keeping on the narrow path?  By filling my heart, mind and soul with the teachings of The Church!  I allow all those great minds and hearts and souls of The Holy Catholic Church to direct me in sharing The LIGHT/The Truth which is helping us to get to heaven!
Kateri likes to play with Luke's toes.
Luke isn't too sure about those claws that she is playing with.

What is another way that I use to guide my life and what I share with others?  Jesus in His Word, which I read each day, but I always read the Gospel for the next day the night before!  Why do I do that?  I have adopted this from The Community of the Lamb which our daughter, Little Sister Hallel, has joined for 7 years now.  Susan/Hallel has always loved to study The Word, and this was very instrumental in her hearing the call to enter it and be a nun.

The Gospel for today is one of those amazing ones... I was filled with such excitement last night as I read Luke 7:36-50... the woman forgiven much, who washed his feet with her tears, wiped them with her hair and anointed them with ointment.  I love the words Jesus speaks to us... "Your sins are forgiven... Your faith has saved you; go in peace."  There is nothing I can do that will separate me from Jesus, if only I will humbly ask for forgiveness!
Mostly they were just having fun together!

Lord, hear my heartfelt prayer that I may always look to you and Your Bride, The Church, to discover the Truth and the path laid out for me.  May I only share your LIGHT.  Yes, I am sinful, yet I know that you are forgiving me.  May I humbly ask for your healing in the confessional, and lay my burdens at your feet.  Yes, there are times when I feel so sad and down that my tears are a river that wash your feet and I dry them with my hair... I am so grateful for your finger upon me on this journey of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!  Jesus, I trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Sharing breakfast on grandpa's lap... Pat always has the little ones on his lap!

In the Gospel today - the woman says nothing, but shows her love in her actions!  May I do that better in my life, O Lord.  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
The older ones are off to school and Luke and grandma are doing the routines of life together.  Grandma always likes her reflection while brushing teeth pictures.
He is a wonderful happy little guy... we are heading out for a farm adventure!
Bringing the kitten to her food and water.
Watching Daniel in my room of Mary/Jesus/pictures/and paintings... Our Lady of Sorrows looks down from above - gifted to me from  my mother-in-law years ago.  Maria took it to the Monastery with her for the 5 months she was discerning with the Poor Clares.
