Family time filled with amazing grace! "Bear in mind who is your head and of whose body you are a member." St Leo the Great, pray for us

In my attempt to find this picture... I had the delight of looking at photo albums and oooing and ahhhing over pictures going back 60+ years and more!  This was taken one fall in 2007 when my sister and I went to help mom and dad do some fall cleaning at our cabin on Lake Michigan.  My mother shares that after starting her family - eventually including 11 children - with 3 daughters that this picture spoke to her and she "loved it."  She bought it and had it framed, and always in a place of honor in her home.

How we ever managed to have this red/purple color along and pose for this in our 50s... well, it is pretty amazing and all I had to do was look on my mother's bedroom wall to find this... I still enjoyed looking through photos...
I was also looking for this one!  I had it in my heart from our years of going to  "the farm" in the 70s!  Now that Mary is gone... but there is such a beautiful light to it that makes it such a work of art!

I am getting together with my two sisters here shortly with mom and dad to have a belated birthday celebration with Paula... the 3rd sister of the 3 of us.  Marty lives just a few miles away and will be coming to make the picture complete for a special time of sharing and laughing and knowing me... crying for joy mostly!  But happy or sad I cry through my life!
Us with our dad a few years back... probably 10 or more.  I have fake plans to getting us with our dad today, too, but pictures are never far from my mind as we all know!

My time here is filled with so much grace and love and blessings!  Praying the office with my parents this morning and knowing of their prayers for our huge and growing family... now praying for 2 in the womb including our Nancy with her 5th!  how we love and depend upon those prayers.  Sharing with them how Pat's prayers and determination to "marry a Catholic" were instrumental in my becoming Catholic and maybe even in our entire family of 13 coming into the Church!  Prayer and those that are to become our spouses praying for us is out of this world powerful and miraculous and life-changing!
Love this!!!  Mom and I have become closer than ever thanks to Nancy moving away from the Cities.  It is hard to drive by where I used to get off to go to their home and know that they aren't there any more,  Yet, I come to my parents for wonderful days of so much wonderful sharing and prayer and memories of the life that I have been blessed with now monthly!  And Nancy lives so close to The Community of the Lamb and now Hallel is there for the year and they can stop in and have her in their day to day lives!
Stopped in on All Saints Day with St George, St Kateri, and St Gianna!  Nancy says that she loves to see the kids as do all the Little sisters!!  "They are my in!"

Many times my dad will be singing throughout the day!
All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation by our God.
Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands;
break into song; sing praise.
R. The Lord has revealed to the nations his saving power.
Psalm 98 from mass today says it all!  My soul is overflowing with LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT!
Pat and I on our wedding day with Jesus in the middle!  Yes!  He is always there in our midst, in our hearts, in our souls, in our family/domestic Church!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke
