After 3 brothers this was such a gift for "T" and she has loved her and cared for her and enjoyed her time with a baby sister immensely over the last year! Vangie is now walking and developing her own personality. Her grandpa Pat fell head over heels in love with her as she lived with us for 5 months while her dad was training as a out East... lots of snuggle time with her baby loving grandpa Pat!
Out to visit Therese, Evangeline and her family before school started in August. Now grandpa says that he wishes they live closer as it is a two day trip each way. Yes, they now live on the West Coast in Tacoma, Washington!
Grandpa's lap is the best!!
LOVE!!!
The kids watching the ripper in front of their house making the snow go away by turning over the soil. The harvest is on hold due to the snow, but it is supposed to warm up next week... even though it seems like it winter is not here yet we hope and pray.
Speaking of hope the reading from Romans 8 is just so full! Every single sentence is so filled with Holy Spirit filled wisdom that you just groan over. I recall the words of St Paul coming to life 5 years ago when we were all gathered around little lamb, Patrick, in prayer. "Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer." Exactly what we were clinging to and what we were doing with every breath that we took and every beat of our hearts! Jesus, Mary and St Patrick save our sweet baby Patrick!

The cows think they want to come home... the snow covered up their food!
I loved this big picture window when I lived there and it is a delight to enjoy it and see our farm world out of it...
This angel... Maria rubbed it on the window at Christmas time about 25 years ago, and it continues to adore our life on the farm! Pondering with wonder and awe the wonders of God's bounty and creation! "In you, O Lord, I have found my peace." Psalm 131 from mass today
These words from the Psalm grabbed my heart and attention as my girls are usually somewhere along in their nursing of their little ones. I think that both Ruth with her Joy and Maria with her Evangeline are nursing their daughters at this point. But Nancy weaned Josephine, or the other way around and now she is expecting her 5th child in April. These words hold a lot of deep meaning as a mother who nursed and now the daughters with their children... "I have stilled and quieted
my soul like a weaned child.
Like a weaned child on its mother's lap,
so is my soul within me."
Wow! That would be peaceful and content and no longer longing for the breast! Quite the vision to ponder of my soul within!
These words of our still and quiet soul within... really lent to the meditation of the day by Fr John Tauler, who is addressing the Gospel from Luke 14 about the "great dinner"/dine in the Kingdom. I just leapt within my inner temple/soul with these amazing words!
Saint Gregory says that we may understand this supper to which we are all invited, as a most interior self-knowledge, a most clear knowledge of that inmost depth of our soul which is God's Kingdom... it is eternal happiness which is the true supper of our souls... If anyone will taste of this sweetness in his deepest life, he must turn his heart away from all that is not God. Father John Tauler (1361)
Yes!!! How do we join the feast within, and taste the sweetness? By partaking of the Word of God each day... starting the night before to take it in and the Holy Spirit will show us the meat and potatoes there for each of us. By joining with Our Lady and the Saints always there to bring us to HIM! By our prayer for all those we have been given here and our dead. Especially the month of November is devoted to our dead! We are asked to lift them up in prayer for their journey!
Her mommy sat there and looked out that big window on our farm world and now Rose and her siblings call this home. So grateful and prayerful for our farm!
Jesus, once again I am amazed at all I am given with this new day of my journey down the narrow path carrying/dragging my most Cherished Cross! I am so small and weak and lowly and sinful and I long to fall on my knees in my inner temple and eat of the scraps, but you set before me a feast!!! I am so filled with your LOVE/LIGHT/ LIFE! May I share it with all those I come in contact with most especially those the closest to me in my domestic Church/family. Jesus, I trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
This girl!!!!! She was so good for grandma yesterday while they were bringing the cows home. She ate, smiled and took a long nap and smiled at me from upside down on the floor wearing the booties that her girl cousins, Therese and Evangeline lived in for their first year of life! LOVE! Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke
Her Uncle Brad was happy to see that she will be a "September red head" like him. Lighter in the summer and darker in the winter. She is all JOY!

Mine too! And you are my hero of Family and LIFE! I know that you are battling the taking of LIFE by abortion that has permeated our sinful world from heaven!

He does spoil us with JOY too!
