"The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us." John 1 Humble infant/LIFE entered our world!

Hallel got Belgian Cookies in one piece this year... I didn't have to mail them to Europe knowing that they would be tasty crumbs when she finally got them.  No, we made them at Nancy's shortly before we left for mass with The Community of the Lamb, and carefully stacked them in a Christmas cookie tin and personally handed them to her!  Along with sharing mass, a wonderful community meal and visiting along with a real hug... it was a wonderful family Christmas in KC with 2 of our 4 daughters!
Hallel joined Nancy's family in front of the Nativity icon under the altar after mass.  Nancy shares that she is really enjoying being just 20 minutes away from Hallel, and being able to stop over for an hour or half here and there..."I feel like I am getting back acquainted with her and it is fun!"  Who would have known that Bill would get relocated to KC a few years back with Cargill, and now Hallel is there with her Community for this year!  So blessed to have Nancy to stay with and spend our family time with and then enjoy our Hallel, too!
Halle doing the first reading from mass today, and she is now the song leader, which with services through the night... she is busy with a lot of practices.

The chapel/Lumen Christi/Light of Christ was aglow with candles and wonderful flowers to honor the Christ... "The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us."  From the Gospel of John 1 today!  It is such a holy place!  Many prayers for our family have been said here through our Hallel and her Community - John, Patrick, Maximilian, and knowing of Hallel's prayers for her family daily!
Hallel directing singing, which makes up a lot of their mass and prayer time!
In her cape with Josephine...
Susan/Hallel's stocking... I had gathered some simple gifts, but she left it behind.  It was just fun to give it to her once again!
Christmas in Kansas City with the Community!

Jesus, we love you and rejoice at your coming to earth and dwell in our humble hearts swept clean with Advent and reconciliation!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke
