Joy and Josephine eating together last night at my kitchen table while the dining room was full of family sharing laughter and food! Nancy had just arrived with her two youngest to visit a high school friend here from Berlin, Germany. Pat and Paul were home due to the unexpected snow in the morning, and John and Bobbi popped in to make our family time complete for those in our area!
Nothing is better than my dining room full of family sharing on a cold Sunday evening. Love to hear the kidding and the laughter! Nancy decided that morning to come and has already headed back for KC with her little ones! She was here a month ago with her husband and all 4 kids to make pie filling and have some cousin time on the farm.
We are so grateful that the sun is shining in bright blue skies today and mid morning the combine was rolling again! They have to be careful not to get stuck in the wet fields, but the corn is coming out slowly and surely!
John and Bobbi with Goddaughter, Joy. It has been 4 1/2 months since this...
Yes, Josephine is a Goddaughter, too! As it David a Godson! I should have gotten the 5 together last night, but...
So much has happened in those 4 1/2 months! John and Bobbi are to be parents themselves in March! The girls and I were just wondering how John will be as a dad... he has had lots of practice with little ones with his 4 Godchildren, and 15 nieces and nephews!
Love this photo bomb as it was the way it was around here with 15 of us suddenly together for sharing a meal and time together! It was like a flash mob of family time! The kids love to run around my circle, and if we stay out of the herd... it lets off steam for the little ones!
David was attempting 200 laps!
Rose in the action too!
John finds the huge heavy warm afghan that Maria crocheted for him! That will be warm in the cold winter ahead, John.
Fun for kids at grandmas... running the circle, hot tub, exercise bike, movies in grandma's bedroom/netflix, Far side comics for Simon and Mary... Ruth asked me if I like my house here..."Yes, I am pretty spoiled here especially now with the new bathrooms. I do get lonely some times and all I have is one cat here now after losing both my dog and other older cat."
I love it that Joy knows grandma's house! She goes and gets her few toys and seems to be happy to be here and at home here! You give grandma a lot of JOY!
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
From the rising to the setting of the sun
is the name of the LORD to be praised.
High above all nations is the LORD;
above the heavens is his glory.
R. Blessed be the name of the Lord forever. Psalm 113
Our Sunday started with sharing mass as a family and with hubby around for the day... he ordered supper together and so it came to be... our home filled with family! Starting our meal with prayer and giving him all the praise until we put the little ones to bed and shared our love and prayers with them! Our day is filled with giving our Lord all the glory!
Joy and Josephine with the kitty!
It was fun to hear Bobbi and Nancy share notes as they are just a few weeks apart on their babies..."I didn't know that was the baby moving until I saw it move on the ultrasound and then realized that butterfly flutter was movement." Nancy explaining to Bobbi what the movement feels like for the first time. LOVE!
The two girls were here for lunch and each left with an apple for the road. Joy home with mom... taking lunch to dad and grandpa, and Nancy 7 hours to KC!
John and Joy...
Jesus, please send along good weather for the farmers and keep them safe as we get our bumper crop out of the field! May we find family time which is so precious to share with those we love and share laughter and jokes and running around the circle and hugs and holding and food and drink... Flash mob family time! Give Nancy safe travels and help us be patient and kind to one another as we face the stresses of fall work. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Grandpa spoiling Dominic and Josephine with a nightcap! Goldfish and diet pop ( in Fanjoux cups from France!) before bed at Grandpa's house! WE love our huge house that fills up regularly with family! LOVE!
Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke
