I had come a few days before Maria's due date, and then we waited for 2 weeks for Patrick to join us! So finally when they decided to induce him... it seemed like he needed to get here.
I watched the monitor stop and the worst had happened... Maria had ruptured and Patrick had died and was brought back to life! He was sent then to a hospital downtown El Paso and I went along with him in the ambulance and baptized him in the middle of NICU!
The word of the Psalm today lived out in my life in so many ways... Patrick 6 years ago was hugely part of those great works! His recovery was miraculous and to this day he is a delight to his old grandmother!
"Great are the works of the LORD,
exquisite in all their delights."
Praying with the cross of light on his blanket! So many prayers surrounded our Patrick, and he went from the sickest baby in NICU to home and healthy in just a matter of days! Truly great are the works of the Lord!
A healing watercolor I did while there awaiting Patrick's arrival! LOVE !!! Soon it was truly the case of him being home in the loving arms of his family! Now this home is Ruth's, Paul's and their 6 children!
Soon they will be 6 and Therese is the best big sister ever!
Patrick happy birthday... we love you and thank the Lord for touching you "by the finger of God" and healing you... bringing you back to us so powerfully! That touch of God is so real and often felt by me on this journey of LIFE!

Harvesting my garden before the frost overnight... cows watching and waiting to get out of the mud...
In the paddock overnight - the sun finally out towards evening on the golden landscape.
The warm sun on their backs after lots of cold dreary rainy days. Hoping for a change in the fall and nice weather ahead to get the crops out and the cows out on stalks.
Joy and the cat here while the cows were loaded and taken back to the farm... soon on the stalks across the road from the farm!
Joy watching mom, dad and grandpa getting ready to take the cows back to the farm.
Kitty smiles..
Surprise! Mom found some raspberries on the plants for Joy
She ate them all!!! LIFE is full of happy times in the most unexpected ways when you are a little girl on the farm.
Joy loves her life as the youngest farm girl! Grandma loves her JOY time!
Bye cows... see you next summer out on pasture with your calves for next year. Each year they make all the work worth it by having a calf to raise and sell to feed the world wonderful Verly beef!
Jesus, how we love to be yours and may we die to self and be more and more yours with each new day! We love to know of your great works in our lives and feel your fingerprint upon us in all the ups and downs we face... these words from my hero, St JPII really were great to read today;

Weak old me climbing up those steep places in my life... you are there to help me and give me a shove and pick me up when I fall! To think that those challenging places are getting us up to higher heights in our Faith journey! Yes!!! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Patrick, Rose and Berna last Christmas when they were all 5! LOVE!
John and Patrick a few years back... embracing their Crosses and finding LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT/healing after touched by the finger of God!

our 7 in heaven and 5 grandchildren!!! I pray for them by name daily! Part of our litany of Family and keeps our goal to be there in heaven forever with them someday!

7 years ago in Ruth's kitchen which is now mine.... today pizza sauce!

May this image give us all the FAITH we need to pray constantly with HOPE, and TRUST that Jesus is healing little Patrick and Maria! The year of FAITH began for us with the most beautiful gift - an elderly man's loved and prayed Rosary! No better gift could we receive! Your prayers of FAITH will move mountains!!! Jesus, we pray for a perfect healthy brain in the MRI in a few days. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless If you want to follow with updates go to my blog - http://
