Getting ready for being laid up...."that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend" Philippians 2

Soon Joy will be here while Ruth is busy being school nurse... one last time for a while until I am back on my feet!

This kitten is now an "old lady kitten" as it lives here with me purring and content to be in the lap of luxury living inside with much food and patting and snuggling and belly scratches!
This morning with love in his eyes for me... I am a bit humbled to have a kitten personally choose to love me and be mine.  It doesn't hurt that he can live in the warm house and perch on the back of the soft couch and watch the world outside in total comfort after eating left over waffles for breakfast...

I have to admit that having here to help me pass the time after my knee replacement seems like a Godsend at this point.  Tomorrow I must show up 6:30a and so it begins... a new knee on the schedule for me.
On his soft perch on the back of the couch... the Lourdes candle lit and our rosaries at the ready... praying the Visitation decade for John and Bobbi's ultrasound to be happening this morning.  The Visitation seemed the right one as both Elizabeth and Mary were pregnant and St John leapt in his mother's womb in his recogniton of Christ in the womb of Mary!  The Best!!!

Baby Verly is healthy and we rejoice with them!
I have this large and where I can see it to give me comfort, hope and strength over these next weeks... Showing the icon grotto of the Nativity of Mary and having received a blessing asking for miracles to take place here in us, who go to Mary to be brought to her Son!

Also I find a fellow sufferer to know that Hallel is also having knee issues... also her right knee with a torn meniscus!  Knowing of her prayers!

I was also very touched by my granddaughter, Bernadette, who wanted to share special time with her grandma and who promised me that every night when they gather for their family prayer including a decade of the rosary and intercession of the Saints... that she would remember to pray for grandma and her metal knee!  So much comfort looking upon this from my bed!
After watching every bit of this beautiful humble glorious place blessed by Archbishop Naumann on Saturday in Kansas City... the spiritual beauty shines forth... Truly the LIGHT of Mary, the Mother of God!  I will dwell on this in my inner chapel over these challenging days!

I feel that there is a giggle in the amazing reading of St Paul to the Philippians today... "that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,"
Yes!!!  Tomorrow in the OR, Dr Nwalkama has told me that they will bend my new knee while under anesthetic so that the struggle to get my knee to learn to bend will get a head start.   Jesus, Mary, the Saints and angels will be with me and my rosary beads will give me comfort indeed.   As far as kneeling in worship... that will not be possible in reality for a long time if ever.  With two artificial knees I have been told no more kneeling in my future!  I will kneel in my heart, mind and soul to You, O Lord, My Savior and author of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
This is reminding me of the Lourdes water that I have aplenty!  I need to use it regularly!

The entire reading from St Paul today is the BEST!  It deserves to be shared here now!
" Christ Jesus,

Who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
something to be grasped.
Rather, he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
coming in human likeness;
and, found human in appearance,
he humbled himself,
becoming obedient to death,
even death on a cross.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name
that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father."
Philippians 2:5-11
Jesus in the tabernacle and on the Cross..."May your hearts be ever merry!"  Psalm 22 from mass today.  Yes!  we can have merry hearts as we rest in him even when we are suffering on the physical side of things!

Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb

The kids are here, so my concentration is gone but in a good way!  On to the cleaning out the fridge, the garage, washing the sheets, sweeping and vacuuming and scrub out the shower and tub... getting ready to be looking around thinking..."Why didn't I get that done?"  With Ruth and sister-in-law, Raterra, helping me in my need I am considering what will make me relax and allow myself to be helped and waited on a bit more than I would like or allow. Talk about being "weak and humbled"  that is when we turn to Jesus!   Jesus, i need you and want you... I am yours!
How I long to find JOY in my heart!
