Ruth left these triple bunk beds in the back bedroom, and we fill them regularly with grandkids! How we love to have a big home that we call fill often with family! It is so fun to see youngest granddaughter, Joy, feeling big and special when she can play on the top bunk. So delightful!
Water coloring is a special time at grandma's house. They were very happy to see these new paints and were careful not to mess the colors up.
Ruth had some errands to do in town and was only going to bring Joy to stay here, but I told her to invite the others... if they would enjoy some time at grandma's. With all my travels, it has been a good long time since they were here...
They all wanted to come!! They brought their swim suits and the bubbles were swallowing them up!
Joy has gotten over her fear of the jets, but David has to hold her above the bubbles and she thinks that is just fine indeed. David says that when he gets home from school that Joy comes running to give him a hug..."I think she thinks I am dad." "No, Dave, she loves her David!"
Bubble beards and smiles are a great combination!
In the Gospel today Jesus and his disciples come into the house, and "again the crowd gathered" so much that they could not even eat! It is such a blessing to have Jesus enter our house... even in the craziness of our lives, we can call upon him to guide and direct us and when we are weak or sick or worried and scared... we recall his telling us 365 times in the Word - "Be not afraid, for I am with you." He dwells in our house, and if we give our lives over to Him.. we will find peace, love, joy, self-control, kindness, gentleness... the fruits of the Spirit in our inner chapel/home/domestic Church!
Joy in and out, but always interested in the bubbly time in the hot tub!
"I want to go back in!"
What better use for all those beautiful colors - a rainbow!
A warm spot on a cold snowy day. Love that this is great fun for the kids at grandma's house!
Feeling like a special big girl! Yesterday she got a new cousin on the Lanoue side, and in a month or so she will have 3 new cousins on the Verly side! She will no longer be the youngest grandchild as she approaches 2 years old in March!
How she giggles with delight at doing what the big kids do now! Grandma still has to keep a close eye on her, but she is just happy to play up there, too!
Working on their masterpieces at the table. It is so fun to have those special things that they love to do at grandma's house alone.
Lord, yes, our homes can become chaotic and busily filled with all that life holds for us in school, work, play, ups and downs... but we know that you are in our domestic church/home and we Trust in you at all times! Home is where we share our faith with JOY and grow in our knowledge and love of you and your bride, The Church. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb
