Pat and I have been traveling a lot so that we can share the holidays with all 5 of our children. All being together in the same place was not possible for our nun, who does not leave to visit her family and our daughter with her 5 going on 6 on the West Coast. So... mom, with her new knee in the nick of time, and dad are hitting the road in the midst of winter and trying to make our way around the storms of winter and life! With an open weekend ahead the planted farmer is itching to get to KC to see our two girls and their families so off we go earlier than planned to get there ahead of the BIG snow that is predicted. A man on a mission and I am glad to go along for the ride and the precious family time in between!
Her last home visit was a year and a half ago... these little girls will be replaced by new baby brothers and we still don't know what John and Bobbi are expecting...a wonderful surprise!
The words from I John today were filled with so much about LIFE eternal!
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
Whoever possesses the Son has life;
The LIFE is what we long for with each moment of each day and unto eternity with Jesus, Mary and all the Saints!
The mountain that moved to France in August for Hallel's final vows! So blessed - " I promise unto death!" So true for each of our marriages and for Hallel's marriage to her spouse, Jesus Christ!
So excited to see these two... Nancy soon to welcome her new son, and Hallel off her crutches and walking on her leg which is hopefully as good as new!
Jesus, thank you for the LIFE we share in your Church and with you and your Mother and all the Saints. We love to have you travel with us in our chapel on wheels. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb
A special hour of prayer for Fr Denny with the glorious sun streaming in through the stain glass - LIGHT of Faith calling to me to bath in His LIGHT! Today in the Gospel the man is healed of his horrible leprosy and then is called upon by Jesus to follow the law and present himself to the priest and was then washed clean!!!
"Go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing
what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them."
The week after Epiphany is still in the Christmas spirit and now Baptism on Sunday!
Flowers from funerals of two close to my heart... a neighbor lady and an only young son. Many prayers and deep feelings for those left behind. Jesus, hold them close to your heart burning with love for them.
