Unexpected home visit/Two pairs on mission/begging..."Come after me... and believe in the Gospel"

After the final mass of the Christmas season/Baptism of Jesus shared with Hallel and Little Sister Marie Jean!  4 came to join for mass at Nancy's Sacred Heart parish as their priest is traveling in Mexico and South America.  Arriving in a snow storm that covered every branch with beauty and blanketed the world around us with pristine white!

Marie Jean is just half a year older than Hallel and has been very special to us on our 10 year journey with The Community of the Lamb.  Hallel joined 10 years ago in Sept and Marie Jean shared that the only time she has seen Little Sister Marie run was when Susan/Hallel arrived in France to join them... "the first American postulant was welcomed with great excitement!"  LOVE!  Marie Jean was our help in communication as she translated to English for John and I when we suddenly arrived for Hallel's taking her habit in the midst of his brain cancer!

Sharing mass with 4... they came to us and it was a gift!
Every time we cross ourselves with the Baptismal waters we are reminding ourselves of our passing through the waters and following after Jesus with the help of his Bride, The Church!  May we come to Jesus and share the Gospel with all we meet... most especially those closest to us in our domestic Church/family!
They announced after mass to please take the poinsettias home as it was now the end of Christmas... today is the first day of Ordinary time!

Home visits are every 3-4 years, but time to time they come unexpectedly to join us for meals... if we have the joy of living nearby like Nancy and family to The Community/just 20 minutes!  So....
Two came to join us for a wonderful lunch with Bill, Nancy and family!  The other two went off into the neighborhood to beg for their lunch and to share with another family a few blocks away how they shared the love of Jesus as Catholic nuns and 7th Day Adventists!  They fed them parogies and shared from the heart!  I am sure their heads are spinning at the two nun "missionaries" that arrived at their door on a Sunday afternoon!
Hallel visiting a family home of hers!  The kids were beside themselves with JOY!
Hallel even came upstairs to see how her dad was doing after a night with the flu, and got a tour of the bedrooms by Dominic and Josephine!  Truly a home visit in every sense of the word!
Love that we had some our homecanned spaghetti sauce for our shared meal!  The little things that make me happy are so special now that Hallel has been living with The Community here in Kansas City and then to have Nancy and Bill here too... such a gift of Divine Providence!
Pat feeling better and joining in the special sharing we were given unexpectedly!

The first day of Ordinary time is filled with many pearls in the Gospel and the first reading from Hebrews today!  Paul stresses in powerful and beautiful and Truthfilled ways that Jesus is truly The Son of God!

Then in the Gospel from Mark 1... Jesus calls the Disciples as he says to them "Come after me"
"This is the time of fulfillment.
The Kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the Gospel."
Jesus
Love to see my two daughters together and sharing their lives, although different both are growing and learning from the path each has been called to!
The two back from their mission of begging for their food, and sharing the Gospel!  They shared that another group had attended mass at a Negro Catholic Church and then gone begging in that neighborhood.  So powerful!

Bill shared that Nancy's pod casts for Catholic children - Catholic Spouts in nationally recognized and that 3,000 households listen to it daily!  This spiked great interest in her evangelization...
Gathered around listening to Nancy's podcast about sharing faith at home/domestic Church!  A wonderful and such an important ministry!

Augustine and Bernadette help Aunt Little Sister with her crutches... she is now able to put weight on her leg and hopefully soon will be as good as new with her mended meniscus in her right knee.
The official pose of our two daughters sharing a rare and therefore most precious home visit!  Nancy might hear her doorbell ring after her son arrives in a month and there be greeted by our family of the Lamb!  They surprised Nancy and Bill after Josephine arrived almost 3 years ago!  Such a blessing to share in their day to day lives one with the other!

Nancy takes her little ones with her each week for her hour of Adoration on Wednesdays at Lumen Christi/LIGHT of Christ Monastery in inner poor neighborhood in Kansas City!

Believe in the Gospel and share Christ that comes to us from both Word, Body and Blood!  This is huge with Hallel's Community... her love for Jesus in The Word brought her to join them, and we have learned at their feet to start the night before with great JOY and excitement to read the Gospel for the next day... They Mauducate the Word by chanting and reading each line over over as the Holy Spirit speaks to them.  So powerful!!!
I am filled with so much happiness to have this wonderful family time!  Nothing can replace the family sharing our Faith!

Jesus, I am overwhelmed by your love for us and how we are given a small slice of heaven if only we die to self and allow you to lead us as we follow after you carrying/dragging our most Cherished Cross to find LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!  How we are filled to overflowing with all that you give us each day in your Church!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Hooray for wonderful Ordinary time!  Bless-bless, Barb
Home again and on the mend... such a beautiful blanket of white followed us about half the trip home.  Here in cold MN it is brown as we missed the snow.  The farmers are happy, but it is not very pretty.
"Yes, it is pretty but they can have the snow down here.  We don't want it as it just means a lot of work for farmers."  Pat Verly

Christian music filled our trip after football ended.  This is Pat's favorite song and we did hear it on the way in our chapel on wheels!
Sharing Evening prayer as we travel down the road is special and our intentions can be as long and involved as we like on our 7 hour trip into the night and home to our own beds!
