Mary reading the second reading from I Corinthians 12 about the Body of Christ being one although many parts... each important and combining to make the whole work. Wonderful to hear Mary reading these powerful words!
"Brothers and sisters:
As a body is one though it has many parts,
and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body,
so also Christ.
For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body,
we were all given to drink of one Spirit."
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
The Lord sent me to bring glad tidings to the poor,
and to proclaim liberty to captives.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
David leads the Alleluia before the Gospel is read about Jesus sending out the Apostles from Luke10
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring glad tidings to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.
"Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing."
Jesus speaking to us!
Joy had both sets of her grandparents at mass and Joy had hugs and snuggles for all 4 of us! We were filled with happiness and love by a little 22 month old girl with red hair and brown eyes. Warmth on this cold day with storms on the horizon.
Simon and Mary in the choir
Simon speaking at the closing of mass this morning... John and Bobbi sharing family time sharing our Faith... how we value and love that!
Over to see the home of John and Bobbi as they prepare for baby's arrival!
The nursery with the crib that Joy is now out of and into her big girl bed. She seemed very excited to see the changing table and the diapers... new baby coming and Joy will no longer be the youngest grndchild with 3 new ones due in the next few months!
Exciting times!
Sundays are for sharing our Faith as a family of the Body of Christ... each with our own talents and gifts to make it a whole! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb

The liberal response to defending abortion is who is going to care for them? Yet they support unchecked unvetted and even illegal immigration and fully support our government caring for them. How about we care for pregnant American women first so they don't have to kill their babies? The unborn are the ones being slaughtered in the name of poverty.
