Busy place with grandpa coming in the tractor to haul manure. Today a load of cattle went to market... still 2 loads to go.
I was able to sit under a tree and watch for heat after lunch... no dust rising today but mud from the rain. I think the farmers are happy to be getting some rain for the newly planted crops though. It makes other jobs around the yard with livestock kind of miserable though.
White puffy clouds yesterday and it was interesting to see that many cows and calves laid down for an after lunch nap. They get tired after lunch too!
I looked around the tree to see this one standing there looking at me, but it turned away when I tried to capture the moment on my camera.
Nap over... everyone up!
I was able to have my rosary beads in my hand while I watched the group that were active and in heat. A beehive of activity... the others just wanted to eat and sleep.
Peaceful rest in the pasture with the beautiful sky overhead.
A great evening at Camden Park with Jude, his mom and dad and Bobbi's parents, who were camping out there. It is so delightful to see the love and awe that they all have for this 2 1/2 month old baby boy! First child for John and Bobbi and first grandchild for Dale and Lila! LOVE!
Talk about a light in our midst! This baby, who was hoped for a dreamed about and longed for and prayed for... all the waiting makes him absolutely so precious to all of us! The words of the Gospel today ring true as we thank the Lord of his amazing powerful and surprising answer to prayers!
"...You are the light of the world.
A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand,
where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father."
John and Bobbi being open to LIFE are a witness of how the Lord works miracles and answers prayers! Celebrating their one year anniversary with sweet beautiful baby Jude! How we thank and praise Him!
Yes, he is our #18 grandchild... he makes our love grow bigger not spread more thin! There are fake plans to get all the 3 new grandsons together in a week! So very excited for family time supreme!
Psalm 98 from mass today expresses our happiness and JOY!
All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation by our God.
Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands;
break into song; sing praise.
With Nancy here from KC and Maria coming from Washington, and a trip made by Maria to see Hallel in Kansas... it seems like all the ends of the earth are coming together to sing praises as we share time together in our own crazy way! I have given up trying to see just how those 2 weeks will look, but it is making me put my total trust in Jesus! He is in control!
Grandma had so much fun getting Joy ready for a cold rainy day including red braids/Pipi Longstocking mom called her!
LOVE this happy sweet little girl! She makes me smile just to look at her beaming smile on her face most of the time. Truly a light set on a lampstand for all to see when she is not having a ginger snap/a bit of a meltdown.
She took my hand to show me the chickens.
Out in the rain with Katie the dog.
Mary comes home from doing goat chores for a neighbor. Ruth is very impressed by what she does for them... even giving shots. Wet and cold today.
Heading in out of the rain... always a busy place on the farm especially when you have 6 kids from 14 to 2.
Lord, how we love you and look to you with all the comings and goings which we are doing to find a way to spend some time together. We place it all in your hands knowing that there is no pricetag on making a way to be together! We ask that you guide and protect us in all our travels. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
Such a wonderful new family! So many giggles and happiness as they look upon their perfect wonderful little son! He is such a good baby... so content and happy! So much JOY! St Barnabas pray for us! May we humbly serve without counting the cost as the Holy Spirit directs us in Truth! Bless-bless, Barb
