The two girls awaiting Evie! Carrying in our bodies the dying of Jesus=the LIFE of Jesus!

Joy and Josephine in the pasture last night with the cows grazing behind them.  Next week the cousin who is right between them... 2 1/2 year old Evangeline will be flying into Minnesota!  Oh, my heart is so full of LOVE at the thought of my whole family being together only minus Joseph and Hallel!
2 year old behind the wheel... future actress here!  Makes me worried about when she does get behind the wheel in 14 years.  Lots of prayers needed by this old grandma.
LOVE this so much!

My day has escaped me so this will be super short today.  Pulled out of bed to watch for heat, drive 20 miles away to get a part off the tractor fixed, then...
 Joy and grandma took Mary over to do her goat chores for the neighbors... so cute to watch Joy and the friendly curious goats checking her out!
 Who is cuter?  I am sure that Nancy will be jealous when she sees these as she has always had a love for goats!
Mary is such a confident farm girl and takes good care of their many goats when they are away at shows.
 Checking the feed situation.
 It was interesting to watch Joy seem to be impressed by her sister taking care of the goats.  She seemed to have more respect for her big sister.
Pipi Longstockings with her goats in the sunlight.
Smiling Joy and goats that want to be petted.
 "Hello, will you be my little while friend?"
 Mary bonding with the goat that she will be showing at the fair this year.  She rubbed her all over her body and fed her some animal crackers snacks to win her love.  She followed Mary around like her puppy.  "At first she was afraid of me, and didn't like me at all."  So much time and effort she has put into her project and helping the neighbors!
 I was then able to get to town and do errands -  most important of all was my hour praying with Jesus in the tabernacle in the empty church.  So peaceful and only one person joined me in the church right at the end of my hour.

I heard from a niece asking for prayers and her little girl in the womb just as I arrived in the church.  I sent this picture to her along with the promise of immediate prayers for them.  The Holy Spirit getting me there to fall on my knees and lift up the needs of her, the baby and Father Denny!

How I love to do the office knowing that Fr Denny does it morning and night as a priest as does my father and mother since he was ordained a permanent deacon on 1974!  Today reading the office of readings it ended with an explanation of the Psalms by St Ambrose, bishop...
Though all scripture is fragrant with God's grace, the Book of Psalms had a special attractiveness...In the Book of Psalms there is profit for all, with healing power for our salvation.  There is instruction from history, teaching from the law, prediction from prophecy, chastisement from denunciation, persuasion from moral preaching.  All who read it may find the cure for their individual failings.  All with eyes to see can discover in it a complete gymnasium for the soul, a stadium for all virtues, equipped for every kind of exercise: it is for each to choose the kind he judges best to help him gain the prize.
So refreshed and uplifted and filled to overflowing with so much... Mary's prayer lifts up like incense before my Lord!

2 Corinthians 4 today is speaking about how we are called to suffer with Christ and take up our cross or drag it if you are weak like me...
"We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained;
perplexed, but not driven to despair;
persecuted, but not abandoned;
struck down, but not destroyed;
always carrying about in the Body the dying of Jesus,
so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body.
For we who live are constantly being given up to death
for the sake of Jesus,
so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh."

Carrying or dragging we are able to through The Holy Spirit which strengthens us and through the death to self we find LIFE in Jesus.   May I die more and more so that Jesus may live in me!
Bless-bless, Barb
 George getting his thumb...

More from St Ambrose...
What am I to say of the grace of prophecy?  WE see that what others hinted at in riddles was promised openly and clearly to the psalmist alone: the Lord Jesus was born of his seed, according to the word of the Lord,  I will place upon your throne one who is the fruit of your flesh.

In the psalms, then, not only is Jesus born for us, he also undergoes his saving passion in his body, he lives in death, he rises again, he ascends into heaven, he sits at the right hand of the Father.  What no man would have dared to say was foretold by the psalmist alone, and afterward by the Lord himself in the Gospel.
Soon you will meet baby #3... Hector Joseph!

Staying cool at the splash pad with mom and sibs!

Evie soon you can swim at Camden where your mom swam most days in the summer!  And you can catch frogs with Josephine!

“If I am to answer the question,
‘How would Christ solve modern problems
if He were on earth today’,

I must answer it plainly; and for those of my faith there is only one answer. Christ is on earth today; alive on a thousand altars; and He does solve people’s problems exactly as He did when He was on earth
in the more ordinary sense.
That is, He solves the problems of the limited number
of people who choose of their own free will to listen to Him."

G.K. Chesterton
Anniversary of death: 14 June 1936
