Bernadette is 8 - the trio together till May/All about how The Church is our LIFE/"that I may live and keep your words." Ps 119

Joy here due to distance learning... our internet is not working just when it is needed for the her older 5 sibs to have school at home, so luckily they found an empty office at dad's work to have home school with the help of mom.
Joy was pretty impressed when grandma brought out my bowl of crayons for her color books.  Joy doing distance learning with grandma - Daniel Tiger and Sesame Street were a bit different for her mommy 35 years ago, but still the same good lessons...
Do you think that is enough crayons?
Bubble sleeves in the hot tub on a cold wintry day...
Swim suit comes along to grandma's house.
Dad's prayer book this morning...  I had my stack of books from mom, dad and The Church to read through while Joy was busy.
This from dad on the prayer following the psalm in morning prayer this morning... really rang a bell for me after getting up early with Pat to go to pray for Fr Denny, and then to attend mass led by Fr Denny!  His theme gathered from the Gospel was that we are helped to be faithful faithfilled Christians by The Church helping us...

"We need to look to The Church...Noah's ark is a symbol of The Church carrying us to safety.  We need to love Jesus and His Bride, The Church, with all our heart, mind and strength."

Birdie loved grandma's shawl and The Immaculate heart of Mary...
Also the Sacred heart of Jesus...
Both were loved and neither was more loved than the other...
Big brown eyes and Mary... a sweet combination.
Distance learning begins in a unique way for the olders.
Nose to the grindstone!
A different look - dad's chair with Joy watching Daniel Tiger.  Mary, , and Jesus watching over us continues.
She brought along her dolly which changes from Baby Birdie to Baby Jude.  She is lucky to have babies in her life with cousins that live close by!
So blessed to have Fr Denny say mass after I had time alone in the church praying for him with 7 Sisters.

It is such a gift and honor to pray for our dear friend, Fr Denny, who directed TEC for over 25 years.  Pat and I made ours 20 years ago, after our 3 oldest had each made their retreat and asked us to make one.  After 3, I could no longer say that I was OK where I was at with my faith.  It was transforming and became a powerful tool of evangelization in our family/marriage/church!

These lines from Psalm 119 in mass today speak of the LIFE we are given through Jesus in Word, Body and Blood and The Church each day!

Be good to your servant, that I may live
and keep your words.
R. Blessed are they who follow the law of the Lord!

Pope Benedict XVI from mom's favorite book, which she read daily for 10 years in a row, speaks to beautifully about the Church being Alive

The Church is alive - she is alive because Christ is alive, because he is truly risen...  The Church as a whole and all her pastors, like Christ, must set out to lead people out of the desert, towards the place of life, towards friendship with the Son of God, towards the One who gives us life, and life in abundance... Only in this friendship is the great potential of human existence truly revealed.  Only in this friendship do we experience beauty and liberation.

The morning light coming in...

Brother Victor-Antione today in his book, Walk in His Ways

As we slowly begin to move from the autumnal light toward the winter one, I notice the extraordinary changes taking place daily in the natural light.  Very early, in the almost predawn hours, I am always taken by the calm, soothing, beautiful, first signs of light that appear on the horizon, peacefully announcing a new day.  Later on, just before dusk, I am struck by the dramatic changes in the sky, as the last rays of the sun set...

After praying with dad each evening after supper as the days shorten and that dramatic light in the West...  And now with the daylight savings time making the sun come up with the gradual light coming from the East... Now with the ground covered with snow - so bright with the sunlight on it!

Dark at 6a... love to sit close to Our Lady of Guadalupe with her roses as she stands at the foot of the Cross, and Jesus in the tabernacle close by... It is dark and cold outside and soon the sun comes to bring LIGHT into the world of darkness...
"I love grandpa."  Joy and Grandpa are very close!   I have been waiting for 3 year old Joy to really start sharing what is within with words... the damn has opened and she is talking a lot!
All our granddaughters, only missing Birdie in August...  today is sweet Bernadette's 8th birthday!
They are now all 8 till May!  Rose was 8 in May, Patrick 8 in October, and Bernadette joins them today in November!  They are cousins and good friends... LOVE!

Gus, Berna and Dominic... Their School - St Maximilian Kolbe is still open for them.  Our Catholic School has now gone to distant learning.
St Rose of Lima in the Saint parade at St Max School in Delano.  We are blessed by good schools helping us raise LIGHTS that love Jesus and His amazing Church!  We share this as a family - all 30 going on 31!  The update from Maria is that after a rough patch things are looking perfect with prayer and progesterone!  Hear our prayer, O Lord, and protect this new life in the womb!  Bless dear Bernadette on this new year ahead.  Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara

LOVE this truth!!!
