Sunday sweets.... Jesus in Word and Feast at the table, family breakfast, babies to 16, anniversary plans and Thanksgiving plans, kittens and chickens with eggs!

Simon with the tray of sweets he had just arranged for our wonderful happy Sunday breakfast after we shared mass!  A visual of the JOY we share with much in the way of Faith/Family/Farm shared for most of our Sunday mornings!

We attend mass at 8a with our great friend priest, Fr Denny.  Then grandpa goes to get the rolls, fruit and yogurt with some of the grandkids - now 3 1/2 year old Joy has become old enough and today it was Joy and Big sister, Rose Again!

It was cold and windy with no sun to warm us... we headed to the bale pile to get some family pictures in a photo shoot.  Lots of the kids that grandma can share - so fun!

Joy so happy to have a new baby in the family!  Much of the readings today were about mother's and wives and in the second reading going into labor was mentioned as to how they suddenly come upon us as do many unexpected happenings in our lives...

Many thoughts and prayers these days for our new grandchild in the womb.  Maria said that the scare she had a couple weeks ago was the baby's way of getting extra prayers!  No longer can either Ruth or Maria go into labor - they must schedule C-sections to have their babies safely!

Always have to take a few... they are so cute and it is great to see Joy now taking more of a big girl role..."Birdie is my new baby!"

Our beautiful table is a delightful sharing of Farm family after sharing our Faith at mass!  Both Simon and David served Fr Denny, John was the lector, and Paul was the Eucharistic minister.  Love to see the Faith at work in our family and being fed by Jesus and His Bride, The Church in Word, Body and Blood!

Bobbi's wonderful egg bake... we love our family brunch on Sundays.  In a normal year we would be having caramel rolls in the Church basememt which we also love.  But we are happy to still come together to share the Sunday sweetness!

Ruth always sets a beautiful table!  Today we discussed plans for their Anniversary get away next weekend - Ruth and Paul will celebrate 17 years of marriage on Nov 22nd!  Also we made some plans for Thanksgiving dinner... Our amazing Bill B. will be visiting his family in Pennsylvania, so our turkey will be less than amazing, but we will try our hand at it!

Gathering to bless our food and share sweet food, visiting and laughter... oh, yes, I am no longer a chicken farmer as they now have a pen for them in the heated shop, and they have come back to the farm!  I am now a duck famer with 4 ducks...

Roses for Our Lady where John asked Bobbi to marry him 3 years ago... so special is Our Lady to John.  "Mom, there is a better mother than you."  Yes!  I totally agree, John! 

John, Jude and Holy water... LOVE how we are at home in our wonderful beautiful church!  Even with the covid mess of masks and distancing... we still love to share mass as a family, and bring the children to be there with us!

My brother just shared with me from St 's in Taylors Falls the bouquet of roses from dad's funeral mass 2 weeks ago!  They continue to be so beautiful for Our Lady!  Speaks to us of our dad's love for Jesus, Mary and The Church!  

I was remembering to Pat this morning that it was 4 weeks ago that dad collapsed on Sunday and died the following Friday the 23rd of October.  So crazy how time continues to fly by!  I would have said to dad a few days ago - "Well, dad, it has been 7months."  Not to be, and still getting adjusted to him and mom both gone so quickly!  

It is so good that the chickens are back home!  Rose again was out there hovering over the egg laying.

The fall kittens are coming in from the cold, too!  They were curious of those big birds as were the chickens of them.  Soon they will be finding a warm home to live in!

Happiness all around for the farm kids and their chickens returned to the farm in a warm shop for the winter!

I wonder what he is thinking?  Probably that there is never a dull moment on the farm.  

Jesus, thank you for the sweetness we experience on your special day - Sunday for us to rejoice with Family sharing our Faith!  In one of my many readings today it was proclaimed that we find an abiding happiness in our daily LIFE in The Church and how true that is!  Each day is a gift from you with the help of Your Church!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara
